    Quite reliable with just the usual maintenance services- oil change, air filter, fuel filter, coolant, brake/ clutch fluids and gear oils.
    Parts are widely available and you can order any part thru the casa. And parts cost is quite reasonable.
    It's a Toyota!

    the suspension and under chasis are really tough. my dream suv, lc80. better than the current patrol. easy to maintain but if you a suspension upgrade, parts are really expensive...am waiting for the china made lc80 to arrive in our shores.

    if you get the lc100 with air suspension, suspension repairs can get expensive.

    not necessarily. It just adds a problem to the vehicle (clunk, where at a stoplight, you fell like you got rear-ended from the back).

    I think the Land Cruiser is a great vehicle. Great on eating a lot of gas, in these times of high gas prices.

    Question lang para mga LC gurus dito... confused lang ako mga sir re LC80 diesel engines,wat LC80 year model ba equip ng 1hd-t at 1hd-FT? is there a big diffrnce bet dis engines? available b s local LC80 and subic or dubai version ang 1hd-ft?
    Diesel fed
    LC100 = 1hd-fte ( wid intercooler )
    LC80 = 1hd-ft & 1hd-t
    un bang 1hd-fte is intercooled version lng ng 1hd-ft? do u knw if me intercooler kit availble sa manila for 1hd-ft?
    lastly wat importer company sa subic wud u recommend selling dubai LC80?
    ung original LHD kit conversion ang gngamit, sariwa unit and ok ang papel..
    THANK YOU!!!

    The local LC80 and 100 have the 1hd-t engine. Think the difference in hp is 165 vs 210 of 1hd-t and fte version.

    Sir, Mid-East spec (Dubai) units are LHD already. Ex-JDM ang mga RHD.
    There is no original 'kit' for converting. That's an urban legend. These vehicles were never designed for steering conversion after production and as such, the manufacturer does not make such kits. Dealers just like to call the collection of parts, a 'kit'. But they are not kits as they are just a collection of parts which tends to be incomplete most of the time.

    the 1HFDTE is available only on the LC100, its turbo intercooled with EFI. ang LC80 1HDT for the local release and the imported has 1HDT and 1HFDT, difference betwwen both is the later is a 24 valve and is about 5hp more and torque is bigger. But there is also a LC100 na with 1HDT engine lang.

    Yes there is an intercooler kit avail for the LC80 about 100+K.

    Try to ask your dad first for a part number to the compressor and a photo just to be sure.
