    hi everyone,

i recently bought a 2nd hand Innova G 2006 manual. i noticed that the 3rd button of the remote key for keyless entry is not working. when i press the button nothing happens. i dont have the owner's manual coz the seller lost it. can this still be fixed?

also, is there any way to unlock the car silently using this remote key?

    thanks in advance.

    There are actually 3 buttons:

    Open/entry button
    Close/lock button
Panic button (Red) - Used when you are trying to find your car in a dense parking lot.

So which of the 3 buttons are you referring to 3rd button?

For the buzzer/horn, you can bring it to casa to disable the buzzer/horn when locking and unlocking. This audible features are no longer implemented on 2007 models and up by the way.

You should also check the condition of remote key battery or try replacing the battery.

It's probably the panic button. If you just press it, nothing will happen, you have to hold it down.

As for the silent lock/unlock, try this.

    - Ensure that the system is disarmed, ie. push the unlock switch.
    - Within 5 seconds, insert and remove the key twice.
    - Wait 5 seconds then press lock and unlock simultaneously for more than 3 seconds. Turn signal lights should flash once.
    - Press lock. Within 2 seconds, press unlock. Signal lights flash once.
    - Within 10 seconds, press lock. Within 2 seconds, press unlock. Signal lights flash once. Yes, it's the same step as above. Yes, ganon talaga.

Hope this saves you a trip to the casa and more importantly, your money.

you mean, even the pilot light does not light? maybe your button is mis-aligned. re-align it by tinkering with it without opening it.
i have a 2005 innova. the first button, the one nearest the key and farthest from the LED, is the silencer. the one next to it, above, is the unlocker. the third one is the locker. you notice, pressing either the locker or unlocker buttons will cause your car to light, and cause sounds from your car. if i am right, the button you are refering to, cancels these sounds.
of course, not all control fobs are the same. my relative has the exact same vehicle as mine, but he got it from a different casa. his fob is different from mine.
btw, if you are handy with your hands, you can open the fob by loosening the screw and prying open the edges with a screwdriver. then you can replace the battery if it is dead.
btw again, you can just drop by the toyota casa and ask the mekanikos there. it's easy...
i think these doodads are aftermarkets. because of their variety, they're probably not in the manual. my instructions are on a sheet of paper i taped to my glove compartment for easy access.

im impressed sa dame ng respondents! da best talaga ang tsikot!

*aejhayl17 - sa toyota makati sya sir nabili.

*mile2 - sir, im referring to the red one/panic button.i'll check the battery din. baka nga need na palitan.

*yoda - i'll try your suggestion, sir. hope it will work to save time.

*dr d - i havent tried pressing this red button when it is alarming to cancel the noise. if *mile2's suggestion does not work, maybe replacing the battery will do coz it has never been replaced according to the seller.
