remove very carefully the coolant cover (so it won't go geyser on you). use basahan, just to be safe.
crawl under the vehicle and screw out the radiator drain stop cock. it's usually at the bottom of the radiator, facing the driver or the front.
let the liquid drain completely.
replace the stop cock.
add coolant until it is just about to overflow.
replace radiator coolant cover.
add coolant to the radiator overflow reservoir to the mark.
some people say the above procedure is better performed just after a long trip, with the engine still hot. i say, anytime is ok, especially if you want to avoid burns.
by the way, some cars (like my diesel innova) doesn't have a radiator filler hole with cover. i have to deal with the reservoir bottle, using coolant mix...
coolant... the coolant helps prevent corrosion of the metal alloys of the engine and radiator. just think of it in that vein, to convince you to use it instead of water. OR, you can shift to VW,, air-cooled. heh heh.
radiator flushing liquid? i don't use it.
