The Innova daw is rear wheel drive, like a BMW.
    Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, the Innova is RWD. RWD and 4WD lang ang available configuration sa IMV platform.

Is it sure that there will be a Mitsubishi counterpart of Innova this year?

If it's G-Wagon, it's not the counterpart of Innova, but the counterpart of Toyota Fortuner.

Regarding G-Wagon, will it be released in the Philippines, when?

They seem to be always late. The L400, compact SUV segment, airbags and ABS, AUV and now this, pick-up based SUV.

the grandis in looks and forms is far way better than the innova. dapat nga di sila kinukumpara. the MIVEC engine of the grandis is likewise superb. grabe kung may diesel variant lang yang grandis it would be much much better!!!

Even sa U.S. maganda ang feedback ng journalists sa Grandis. Too bad Mitsubishi has no plans of selling it there.

I've been on both the grandis and the innova. Basically they are the same. You may not compare them directly but the are more similar than you think. The shape of both have similarities and even the interior have similar style. The major difference aside from the engine is how you can hide the last back seat. The Innova is based on Prado style with folds up and the grandis' style is hiding the seats below the flooring. Nwy, I know I'm quite biased 'coz I own an Innova but I think some are just putting down the innova. I don't think Innova is no match against the Grandis. Especially If you put the Top of the line Innova against the Top of the line Grandis, you can see the best of both auto. Innova G has the beige/luxury appeal of high end autos like Prado and Camry. Grandis, on the other hand is a rather conservative type utilizing a grayish interior with silver trimings. I believe it all depends whether you like to own a TOYOTA or a MITSU. In this case, I want to own a TOYOTA (No offense to my Pajero. ^_^)

Its a matter of preference AFAIK the Grandis is a bit longer than the Innova. Plus Grandis has a bigger displacement engine
