Kahit siguro yung hindi praktikal na tao mag dadalawang isip kukuha nito...
Nilagyan din sana ng safety score sa ads nila kasi naka cage kana so maamang 5star rating yun for a car...

Its a shame because 2 decades ago Toms created an SiR-killer for less.

It's not like the Vios Cup Car is a new concept. They launched the previous gen Cup Car in 2013 in time for the inaugural Vios Cup.
Over the course of 5 years the Vios Cup had roughly 60 participants per season, so that's at least 60 people who bought the 1.2M Vios Cup Car then.
This year with the new gen, they bumped the price up but there were still 20 something participants in the 2019 Vios Race season.
So yes, may bumibili ng ganitong kotse and yes, pinangkakarera nila to.

Do youu have track times data for the cars you've mentioned, plus more? Same driver?
Can you fix the link censoring?
Ok. So i may be wrong on the assumption of 95 percent of the time part.
But why the price increease? The base vios g price for the most part of the last 5 yrs is in striking distance with each other. A 1.2m cup car to 1.4m jump is big considering the amount of mods you get. If it is old news then (may mga bumibili na prior) then why just release it in the news now? Is it because onti na lang participant nila? If yes, then they already knew the answer why. Did they added something on the 1.2m cup car 5 years ago to make it 1.4m?

Clark International Speedway (Full) | Top 1 Lap TimesDo youu have track times data for the cars you've mentioned, plus more? Same driver?
A typical stock or mildly tuned BRZ/86 will lap anywhere in the high 2:20s or low 2:30s.
Wish I could but it's a site admin thing and this site is like a ship floating in the ocean without a captain. Have not been heard from the site owners/admin in ages.
For one, the old Vios 1.5G was just a tad over 800k in 2013. Now it's 984k for the 1.5G MT.
Most of the people who join the race cup also race their built-not-bought cars in other race events. For example, one is a batchmate of mine who's been joining drift competitions since high school. Another is a regular participant in Togue Battle. Then of course there's the distributor of Ferrari who also races in the Vios Cup. So it's not a mutually exclusive thing.![]()

Based on the track times, the driver is the limiting factor, can see EG's from mid to bottom 100.

Can we all just chip in to buy back the site? Hehehe. Domain and its hosting lang naman eh.

Judging from the "updated article" and compared dun sa initial article, the 400k price is now justified. Limited slip diff. I blame the media for not releasing everything correctly.
------
So meaning most of the participant of the cup have built their vios and not bought them of the shelf?
Then this is a marketing by toyota to put more heads on the race. Not that everyone is qualified though.

Not all EGs are created equal. Each Civic there on the list has different mods, which makes it hard to make an apples to apples comparison. And that's exactly the charm of the OMR Vios Cup - so everyone drives the same car and you single out driver factor as the biggest determinant.
What I meant was most of the participants of the Vios OMR also have other race cars which they use for other events that don't have entry limitations (i.e. Sparco, FORS, Togue, etc). But specifically for the OMR, everyone has to use the same specc'd Vios from Toyota.

I think everyone saw this version of the article.
Updated article:
Difference is night and day.

Well the article wasn't clear yesterday. Can't blame the early readers who read an earlier and poorly written version.
Those who get are more into the Cup than the car, I suppose. A bud's kid moved there from karting. His only sees track, no street. Racing is a costly passion. Not surprised to hear 'pretentious' beside it. Those who can't or won't are free to pretend, share their 2cents....or ask Toyota to create a more affordable Wigo Cup Car.[emoji16] Yet to read a good comment.[emoji15]

only real racers will understand, its a factory built racecar with original TRD parts design for that specific model & purpose.
its not like an ordinary car, fitted with customized roll cage and assorted aftermarket parts to make it perform better on the track (not on public roads i hope) then pay the entry fee to join local racing events like slalom, autocross, touge battle, sparco cup, fors or philGT, and still those mods is not enough to go side by side against well-funded/sponsored competitors unless you are willing to spend your money more.
now for the vios OMR car, all the competitors have that same spec car, only the driver's skills (and weight) and the decals are different. and the best thing is you can race on the vios cup which is organized by toyota itself (which other manufacturers cant pull of)
so if you are planning to get into real racing, this is the easiest and proper way to do it.
and if you want a grab business buy the base model.
