priceing is key to the automotive sector. If nissan can bring in a legitimate 7 seater SUV priced below or equal to 1.2M then it would definitly give the fortuner a good competitor. but if nissan priced it up coming SUV similar to what Isuzu did then its a hopeless fight where toyota will definitly win.
The USDM Murano has no 3rd row seats. its more of a pretty luxury recreational vehicle rather than a tought out going do all you can SUV.

well alam mo naman, people buy SUVs for the prestige n commanding size, kaya it would be better to introduce up-to-date models here, i think 90% of 4x4 SUVs dont even see mud hehehe

for the 4X4 enthusiasts - patrol
for everyone else - pathfinder or armada

Yup, that's the situation. There will always be a core group for the Patrol kaya mahirap talaga alisin sa line up.

Nissan has no plans yet of watering-down the Patrol to be a boulevard cruiser. They have learned their lesson from Toyota whose LC100 lost quite a bit of street cred after they put in an independent suspension.

not really. while the fortuner is sized (and probably engineered) very similarly to the prado/4runner, the pricing means that it's somewhat the equivalent of the Highlander in the US. or what the xterra is to the pathfinder.

the prado here costs about 1.3 million more pesos than the top-end Fortuner hehe

Mukhang yung Murano na darating dito ay panay 2WD lang para mas mura.Kung darating yung Pathfinder dito eh siguradong based yan sa new Frontier na may 3.0 diesel engine.

Armada yang model na yan dito sa KSA. Wow super laki, V8 at mas malaki talaga sya kesa sa Patrol at Land Cruiser. Tulo nga laway ko pag nakikita ko sa daan he-he. Nawawala pagkalalaki ko he-he. Ad posters nga nyan dito, nasa unahan sya ng jumbo jet.

If ever the new Pathfinder lands on our shores, I just hope Nissan Phils. puts in the right engine - either the Patrol's ZD30 or their state of the art YD25DDTi (2.5li.CRDI, 133PS, 30kgm torque). Nissan Phils. is just notorious for putting in old engines like in the Frontier (QD32, NA na OHV) while the Aussie version (Navarra) already has the Patrol's ZD30. They have the chance to steal the show from Toyota.

according to my source in nissan, it is the palladin that they are planning to release here. its bigger than the x-trail but smaller than the patrol. its in between these two units and seats 7

there is a unit now at the nissan plant. they are still going over this and mulling how to bring the price down

no news yet on whether this will be released this year. baka next year daw

In the US, the Pathfinder competes with the 4Runner so its more upscale than the Fortuner. I think what Nissan will bring in the Phils. is its Xterra. Just my 2 cents.

its the paladin (chinese version of the xterra???) that they are planning to bring in the philippines. they already have a unit at the plant but there is no news yet if this will be released and how much. but nissan will position this between the x-trail and the patrol
