    Good day mga fellow ka-Toyota.

Kailan darating ang 2.5 D-4D with VNT na Forty and Hilux?

Any chance the Innova will get the same treatment?

    Warm regards

I think upgraded na din yung power and tranny ng V. A 40K increase is too much for a head unit, as compared to G VVTi, 15K lang. Also the 2.5G VNT has 5 speed tranny, the V must also go along with the upgrade para hindi maiwanan sa sales. Correct me if I'm wrong but our local and Thai Fortuners have similar drivetrain configurations.

Unfortunately, that upgrade didn't make it here. yun 2.5L lang talga nagkaron ng engine upgrade.

But we still have 3 days to go before the first batch arrives in our dealership. Who knows maybe it did get an upgrade ;)

Afaik 1st gen CRDi ang D4D ng Toyota and Mitsu while Kia/Hyundai is 3rd gen na kasi. Mas refined na. Also, Bosch gamit ni Korean vs Denso ng Japanese. Magkaiba din kasi so malang iba din performance ika nga.

Hehehe, yung sa MS ko nga, 4D56 pa na gamit ng late 80s model na L200.
Na-modernize lang kuno by using CRDi and turbo.

That's a testament to the durability and flexibility of the 4d56. Similar to the 4g63 on numerous Evos. Not entirely a bad thing, especially parts option wise.

Yeah, my friend, who also owns an MS GLS-V, have a late 80s L200 in their family.
Sablay na ang mga ball joints at steering, pero wala pa ring major issues sa 4D56 engine...

Going back to Toyota ... I can still recall the Top Gear episode kung saan e tinorture nila ng husto ang late 80s hilux ... Ibinungo sa puno, hinampas ng wrecking ball, pinang demolish ng kubo, sinunog ang cab, inilubog sa dagat, ibinagsak mula sa ibabaw ng dinemolish na building ... On each torture test, napapagana pa rin nika ang makina after a few tweaks ...

Sana lang e ganoon din katibay ang mga CRDi generations ...
