corolla enthusiast , owner , mechanic , anyone..

I found a corolla , 1997 xl - upgraded to all power and 4age engine with fuel regulator(I dont knw what the hell is this for) for 140k.

Questions are , ok na ho ba tong price na to? Yong 4age engine , malakas kaya sa gas. Kasi gagamitin ng misis ko for everyday use and Im a little bit worried kung duduguin kami sa gas. its 4age silvertop. Mahirap kaya maintenance o parts nito ? kung I-cocompare sa standard gli , 4afe yata yun , gaano kaya kalaki difference ng fuel consumption?

The EE92 model is the XL corolla sold here in the Phils. It came with a 2E petrol angine with 4 or 5 speed manual tranny. The engine in that particular corolla is a quad angle 5 valve per cylinder Silvertop 4AGE. It has 4 ITB's(Individual Throttle Bogdies) and equipped with a Air flow sensor. This engine produces 162HP * the flywheel and consumes at a rate of 12-14Km/L Hway 9-11km/l city. Parts are like Mcdonalds and jolibee restaurants in Manila..Very reliable. Good Choice if ever!
