The astronomical mileage might be a tip off. Normal cars usually rack up around 10,000 km per year.

October 13th, 2009 12:42 AM #3Check the Plate Numbers: An ex-taxi or an ex-For Hire vehicle with green plate numbers would have that small letter "H" embossed on the center of the plate numbers, some have the "H" embossed on the left side of the plate. If it has still yellow plates, it is obviously a For-hire vehicle, and the owner is probably waiting for the "dropping" of its franchise to get new plates stamped.

Another reliable sign is may butas/misaligned/fabricated ang center deck/console area because of the taxi meter.
