Feeling ko nga mas matino pa yung Starex namin na di nakatikim ng casa service kahit kailan kesa sa mga kotseng naipasok sa casa.

ano daw ang reason why customers are not routinely allowed to view the workers doing their car?

where i have mine done (otis), their workbay is just a few steps away from the outside, with no barrier to hinder vision and footwork. i can stay out, a few meters away, and see the mechanics doing their stuff.
but i stay inside the customer bay, anyway. ma-init sa labas, e.

^^^ To avoid theft ... which they (mistakenly) analyzed is done by other owners looking after their vehicles ...

Theft of parts resulted in investigations by dealers ... mechanics put the blame on owners and unauthorized persons entering the work area ... so they banned other people from entering work area ... now the mechanics are happy because there's no one to monitor their work and their business ... it would have been much better if management just installed security cameras all around the work area ... but they don't do that ... and you have to wonder why ... we have to rely on dashcams ... even that is not fool proof since the mechanics would disconnect your dashcam power ...

It's a vicious cycle really: Palpak sa CASA so dadalhin sa labas. Palpak or di ma diagnose yung problema ng independent shop so dadalhin sa CASA.

In my case: PMS under warranty at the CASA for the first year or so. After that, I go to independent shops already for almost everything else (but i control the parts and fluids i want to use).

    OT

Is this really a sad sign na ingrained na sa Pinoy ang pagiging corrupt?

Heck it is a free world whenever no one is looking.

    ^^

i think i get what your saying

it's like default nature ng pinoy gumawa ng masama pag wala nakatingin o basta huwag mahuli

parang ang motto sa buhay: try to get away with as much as you can without being caught or without having to suffer the consequences

Filipino mindsets that needs to go.

    ----------

If i were toyota, ill give him a new fortuner or land cruiser to make it sweeter just to close this case. The money and effort while this case drags on is not good for their image.

From the amount of sales that they have, im sure they can afford to give away one unit.

^^^ Sure they can afford it if there's one complainant ... but you open the floodgates to a lot of other complainants if they do that ... same concept as why a government does not negotiate with terrorists ... you set a bad precedent ...
