September 20th, 2003 12:44 PM #1just bought the new toyota vios yesterday at the toyota pasong tamo..... silver, manual , 1.5G
share ko lang....
grabe....kakaiba itong car pag dinadrive...nakakapanibago...hehe
here's the pros and cons
pros:
1. fast
2. center digital speedometer is cool... parang 3-D kapag tinitignan mo.... by the way ang nagdadrive lang ng car ang nakakita ngeto...it cant be seen on the passenger side.
3. vero cool aircon...bago eh...hehe
4. malakas kumapit ang preno.
5. good suspension... medyo matigas...pero less body roll.
6. very bright headlamps and foglights.
7.lots of holders...like 3 cupholders, compartment etc...
8.precise steering
cons:
1. cramped rear seats...pero pwede na dahil it's only a sub compacked car.
2. the side mirror outside can only be fold manually.
3. cannot install any shiftlight....duda ko sensitive yung mga wiring ng mga digital.
4. sobrang sablay yung stock na busina.
for the mean time ito muna... sandali ko lang kasi na drive eh. hehe.
can anyone here give a test drive review on the new honda city?
concern ko kasi is can it go up in megamall...or kahit saan steep na lugar, given it's a 1.3 and full 4 passenger ang nakasakay sa car?

I've already thought of shiftlights for the VIOS since I test drove it at the FORT. I think you can install a shiftlight but it would be similar to the one from AutoMeter where it takes its signals directly from the crank sensor and not from behind the stock tachometer.
Car Horn
Easy to change, any car accesory shop can install some better & louder horns.
Rear Seats
Would you believe the VIOS rear seating is still more spacious than in my AE111 Corolla?
Honda City up megamall with full passengers
yup, no problems but it will be a rather slow grind and dont expect to accelerate going up. I've driven the City with aircon on, with four people and two full sized luggages weighing 65lbs & 40lbs going up a parking building ramp.

As they say, they are numerous shops around town that can deal with your scenario. :D

the puny horns are not exclusive to the vios. even the altis' is puny. the camry's, tho a bit stronger, is still a pipsqueak.

You should have seen the sport version of the VIOS that toyota displayed at the FORT. Ganda talaga.
considering a Ferrari has an average price range of 20-25M. multiply that with 666 units sold then...
