hello car gurus!
Due to rising fuel cost im planning to have an engine swap -5K to 2C- for my liteace. do you guys know the cost of a 2C diesel engine? im sure that the diesel variant of the liteace is witha C-series engine, but i dont know if there are conversion issues like; radiator hose placement, engine support mount, transmission shifter cable, etc. kindly enlighten me on these. Thanks in advance.

wag ka mag 2c-- busit na makina yun, either have it 3C-turbo or go LPG since they cost basically the same.... or just sell it..
and nga pala, if you go diesel, most are of AT ang kasamang transmission.. hanap ka ng MT for 3C and differentail, di match ang MT mo at differential maiinis ka lang--kasi di tama ang ratio ng gears for the engine..
so in short, pinaka madali parin: LPG or sell it
former JDM liteace 2c-te 4wd owner here...pm me nalang if you want o know why i hate that shitty 2c-turbo...Last edited by alwayz_yummy; May 7th, 2008 at 08:40 AM.

* AY: Hehehe... :hihihi:
Sir,
LPG ka nalang. Mas sulit pa ito! I was planning to, you know, install LPG on mine. Pero I am still out of the budget.
RE: LPG vs. Engine Swap. Less headaches since your car will still be almost original as it is. Engine swapping would mean changing a lot of things. Plus, gasoline and diesel prices are still on the "high" side. LPG will only cost you 27 php/liter.
Downside:
Less power on higher rpms.
Swallows space in the back but this can be solved by putting a tire-shape tank. Much better to leave the spare wheel on the back of the car.
Might increase your fuel economy. For example: W/O LPG: 7 km/l, W LPG: 6.5 km/l but still depends on your driving habits.
Advantages:
Cleaner fuel, cleaner emissions = better environment

1C , 2C noong bata pa ako ang tawag ng mga mekaniko namin dyan eh dispossable engines, kung talagang gusto mong mapatino eh sasalpakan mo ng C240 na liner and pistons kaso mas magastos.
Go for LPG conversion instead to gain Fuel cost economy and lesser conversion headaches.
Believe me pag nag-engine swap ka, tatabangan ka na sa ride mo et gusto mo ng ibenta kasi marami ng functions and di pareho from the orig stock setup, pati mga panel gauges mo magkakaroon ng incompatibility issues.Last edited by Mile2; May 7th, 2008 at 10:48 AM.

2CT= 18K-25K
3CT= 30K-40K
I don't think a 3CTe is easy to mount.
I recall a Emina owner ordered a wrong engine. imbes 3Cte, 3CT ang na order. since malayo yung enorder nya. pilit nilang e-fit yung engine. ayon nasunog yung computer box nila.
anyways, ang main problem po ay yung electronic connection, TPS and solenoids.
try mo email si zed2d
his local litace has 3c-turbo engine with intercooler and 17" rims and still reach 140kph without TPS and solenoids hooked.
Imo, if you are not much into power gains. LPG nalang.
Those are fair points. It is quite early in the game for the Philippines when it comes to EV...
