Guys, tanong lang.. I had a chance to look at the fuel pump ng 3.0 D4D sa company namin, model 2007, mahaba na yung scv niya, kasinghaba nung scv ng 2.5 D4D ko, 2011. Ibig ba sabihin, Toyota rectified the problem regarding the SCV since 2007?

Ung mga earlier Innovas 05' or 06' model wala pang 1 year lumabas na agad.
tuloy pa rin pala itong thread na 'toyota d4d choking', more than 6 years na itong thread na ito a.
For your information, I was one of the original responders dito sa thread and I still believe this is just all
disinformation against the innova. Nasan na sila Larshell, Mazdamazda and the others who were harping against the Innova then, Accept it guys the innova is the most wanted vehicle in the country or in Asia today. Sa Vietnam I was just there, panay innova sasakyan!
Anyway, this is just toinformall that I just sold my 2005 Innova E MT with 130,000 km. and with 6 years of trouble free ride.
It has been to both ends of Luzon from Matnog in Sorsogon to Pagudpud Ilocos Norte. Well I had to change the tires, batteries twice, the brake disc pads and brake shoes once, wipers and had the AC cleaned once, and replaced the egr, thats all! It still runs at 13km/liter diesel. Sold it for 480th to a friend.
Now,I am just waiting for the new 2012 Innova to come out and I have reserved one already. After 130th km and 6 long years of trouble free and economical ride, I am truly convinced this is the best car for Filipinos!
mga peeps sang lingo na ako nagbabasa ng mga problems tungkols sa mga cars sa pinas ..i just wondering ganito ba talaga ang nabiili jan ..im here sa tate pero pag nababasa ko mga problema parang mga lemon ang mga cars jan..like na magpapalit ka ng fuel filter after a year palang dito kasi guarrantee na bumper to bumber at 60k or 5 years whichever comes first o kaya kaya kumuha ka ng extended warranty..saka ung sinasabing 1000 pms ganung kamahal dito every 3k ang palit ng oil sa mga bago na ngaun 5 k na ..kung ikaw naman magpapalit ng oil mo abutin kalang ng mga 800 pesos lahat lahat na .lahat dito guarranteed battery pag sinabing 5 years 5 years talaga gulong ng silverado ko 5 years na with 60k parang bago parin
and i still have my toyota echo which is phaseout na rin with millage of 182k ganda ng takbo ..ngaun palang pinalitan ng coil at sparkplug at ang catalictic converter pinaago ko na rin both brakes and shock sa likod ung nga lang inabot ako ng $1100 sulit pa naman kung bibili ako ng bago...pang second car ko lang naman toh at pangharabas..kasi meron din akong 2012 toyota sienna.. tanong ko lang whats wrong with cars sa pinas????
one of the several factors are dirty fuel and road conditions... kung mahilig ka sa balita meron ex. total fuel station premium fuel ang kinakarga caltex na pinakmurang fuel. o kaya naman may tubig na halo. you can not trust fuel station here by its brand name.
Plus again the auality of fuel. So malakas loob nila at tiwala sa brand.

Good PM mga sirs...
2005-2008 models have shown symptoms of the "problem".
2009-present, no reported incidents so far, at least at the internet and forum levels.
Eisele P. Buntua, 44, who is into trucking business, has owned an Innova J, D4D 2.5 manual variant for seven years. He said he chose to buy the Innova because “it looked like it had much more to offer in terms of refinement. It was the most logical choice over the other AUVs available in the market at that time. Plus, it was a Toyota!”
Here are Eisele’s rants/wish list:
“The diesel engine seems quite sensitive to fuel quality. Also, highway fuel consumption needs improvement. Maybe the low pressure turbo becomes more of a hindrance to the intake airflow during highway speed driving.
Tony Belza Espinosa, 50, a supervisor of a multinational company that requires him to visit retailers up to 200 km away at times, bought an Innova E Diesel 2.5 2006 model in November 2006. Having six kids, Tony considered the Innova as just the right size and configuration for his family.
Here’s Tony’s wish list for and rants about his Innova:
– Finally, and probably the most important for D4D-powered Innovas, Tony urged Toyota to replace their fuel pumps with ones that can cope with the diesel fuel quality prevalent in the country. “I’ve experienced my Innova just suddenly stall, and so do the other Innovas of other people I know of.”
