While going to Tarlac kahapon, I just uncovered that there was a surplus store along Capas that was selling completely knockdown LC na 40 series....most BJ's yata but I'm sure they can get you FC's if needed.

40 series na maikli is around P180K completo daw (aassembulin mo na lang)

44-45 series (yung mahaba or pickup version) is around P200K naman.

Ubos na unit nya ngayon but he can also bring-in new ones if needed, 1 to 2 months waiting time - minsan reservation needed (aroung P50K daw pede na).

If you need info, ipost ko yun number nila.

Sayang JayCrew wala silang ARB/TJM bumpers like Ungas' and Kimpoy's, puro OEM lang.

    wildthing,

I'm ignorant to this BJ & FC series, i know that LC stands for Land Cruiser (Toyota) and that LC70 is the box type LC (common now in Subic auctions)

    Who could do the assembly?

What does the 40-45 series (mahaba or pick-up version) look like?

    Any pictures?

I'm interested in this. Thank you!

    OEM=original equipment manufacturer (tama ba)
    FJ series ibig sabihin de-gasolina
BJ series is the diesel counterpart

40 series (lately eto yung mga armorcar ng mga bangko)

    45 series
    pickup type (eto gusto ko)

    wagon type

wildthing paki tanong kung nag re-restore sila?

may BJ40 kasi yung dad in law ko eh
maski latero muna, rust bucket na kasi eh
saka gusto ko sa bahay ko gagawin

Re FJ/BJ, what I recall of the Toyota model codes are as follows:

First letter refers to the engine series. Yung sa FJ40, the engines are typically the 2F engine which is a 6-cylinder gas. Kung BJ, 2B or 3B diesel engines yata usually. There is a webpage listing details (model, displacement, hp, torque, etc) of LC engines... sorry di ko na maalala kung saan.

Second letter is the code for the model series (i.e., "J" is for land cruiser).

The number represents major body design models or generations (i.e., 40, 60,70,80,100 series). Yung next number yata represents different wheelbases, i.e., 70 for short wheelbase, 75 for mwb, and 78 for lwb.

Tama ka jaycrew....wait ka muna baka biglang magbago isip ni Kim at ibenta pick-up nya e di kunin mo muna ung bumper :lol: .... o kaya may makita tayong orig na 2nd hand.....aktually napagusapan namin nung taga-AC na gumagawa ng copy-cat...they are considering buying an orig and copy it properly...then i-sell nila ung orig at half the price.....pag-natuloy sila sabihan kita.

Offroadfanatic - Assembling ba kamo - well I gez we all have to look for a good one. Ung sina Dayu (eto rin ung gumagawa ng bumper na copycat dito sa AC) ang alam ko they are restoring these LC 40's...a month back they just finished a 44 - mahabahaba ng kaunti sa 40 na parang wagon pero hindi katulad nung wagon sa picture ni Kimpoy.

Unfortunately, I don't think they would do homeservice (unless the price is right!!).

Kimpoy, try mo sina Dayu baka kaya nila magrestore (ewan ko lang kung tumatangap pa) nung sa dad-in-law mo. Me latero sila to do this, and they charge fair (I gez). Did you see the orange BJ40 they were doing nung nagpa-repair ka ng bumper mo sa kanila...maganda tirada at pulido naman (bulok daw ito nung sinimulan - yun nga lang medyo lugi daw sila dun).

Eto yung contak nung taga capas....(sabi nung kaibigan ko mero daw itong store na ito na puesto sa subic kaya kayang-kaya nila magpasok)...kimpoy baka bentahan ka nila ng "bagong" bucket ng LC40 - I did see sa likod nila that they were doing paint job on a BJ/FJ bodyparts or conversions (maybe), ask ninyo na lang mga sirs if they do bodyworks or restores.
