we tried this already, instructed all our drivers never to let fuel level lower than half, expecting that this would in a way ease the load of the fuel pump as it will have to work less. did not work.

also, our theory/observation that they stall after 4 hour continuous trip no longer holds. now they stall anytime, anywhere, regardless of distance and time.

eliminated fuel quality as the drivers can refuel anywhere, having at their disposal caltex cards.

google came out with a lot of toyota engine problems in india. ecu, mass air flow sensors being the culprit.

still at a loss and really disheartened by toyota.
so its no the fuel pump?

it is the pump. had one replaced this week and the unit now runs as if it is brand new. just do not know how long this will last, hopefully more than a year as it costs 34k to replace one, including vat and labor.

5 more units to go. is it advisable to try out replacement fuel pumps from banawe? heard they cost less than 15k.

i hope this won't happen to other innova gasoline engine owners after reaching 100k.

have not yet written a letter of inquiry to toyota.

    is this true sir?
tama. kaya wag laging below 1/4 ang kargang gasolina...

I'm guessing your units are no longer under warranty since they are charging you. Try other parts suppliers outside of the casa, bringing it to the casa will just entail unnecessary cost... like the manufacturer itself of your fuel pumps.. Denso ba fuel pump nyan?

Ganitong ganito ung nangyari sa Mazda3 ko. Fuel Pump Assembly costs me 30k++. ouch! Gumagana daw ung motor pero ung filter sira na kya buong assembly ung pinapapalitan. cause daw is kung laging nag-eempty ung gas tank or palipag-lipat ng gasoline brand. pagka nag-eempty daw kse ung nakukuhang gas daw medyo madumi na ung tira-tira nalang. I won't buy mazda again.

Hindi kaya mag fit ang fuel pump ng rolla big bodies sa fuel tank ng innova? kung hindi, is there not a possibility of replacing the innvoa fuel tank with a rolla? It is because parang la ako me narinig na nag reklamo sa fuel pump ng rolla after 200K kms. Mine is almost 18 y/O rolla na, still going strong. Just a penny for the thought.

Besides, methink Toyota Philippines does not give a damn to its sold vehicles here. andami ng reklamo but I never heard a Toyota recall. Honda I think, I heard na meron na silang modelong 6 cylinder engine, will bank 3 of its cylinder when at idle (or traffic condition), will operate 4 cylinders at operation, and will give its 6 cylinder power when demanded. so, it is like driving a 3 cylinder multicab at heavy traffic, 4 cylinder at normal traffic, and a 6 cylinder vehicle at hi-ways. di bamatipid sa gas tio, lalo na ang mahal na ng gasolina ngayon?

Kailangan munang palamigin yung makina after 5 mins. at pwede na ulit siyang i-start...
