March 15th, 2009 02:26 PM #1I'm due to have an extended trip for 3 weeks overseas. My wife and my daughter will be tagging along with me... I will have to leave our Innova diesel at the condo parking for the whole duration of our trip...
Should I disconnect the batteries para di ma diskarga? I'm not sure if I can ask somebody to have it started and used during the duration...
Paano kaya magandang gawin?

If you disconnect the battery, walang power for the security system.
Ok lang yun kahit 5 months or so pa yan naka-park. If you have a relative around, mas maganda iwan mo sa kanya. Parking in your condo doesn't guarantee safety esp pag napansin na parang di nagagamit yung car.

had our trooper left for 3 weeks last year.
ok naman yan except for the alikabok that would accumulate inside. and the risk na madiskarga battery mo.
wag mo lang i disconnect yung battery.

Three weeks is perfectly fine. No need to disconnect the battery.
Some new car dealers leave their stocks out in the open field, longer than that.

Walang problema kung 3 weeks lang, ganyan din sa office namin. Iniiwan lang sa parking slots ng matagal pag nasa provicial or out of the country assigment.
Ganyan din sa mga dealers, nakabilad pa nga sa araw at minsan buwan ang inaabot.
Just make sure it has security guard roving around, baka madale spare tire mo, ilipat mo na lang muna sa loob ng cabin.

3 weeks ok lang iwan yan pero like the other poster suggested if you have an alternate parking (families' place)that will have somebody to watch over your ride would be ideal....
no need to disconnect the battery as well .... longest i left my car sa house was about a month and a half (97civic vtec) hindi ko din pinapunasan sa kasambahay so sobrang kapal ng alikabok hanggang loob .. tas un leather seatcover nagkaroon pa ng parang moist or lumot ba yun parang fungi hehehe ... anyways oneclick lang start agad then derecho sa carwash hehe

Yung Altis ko 2 months straight na stagnant sa garahe when I'm out of the country. Di ko tinanggal battery. Wala naman naging problema. Pagabalik ko one click naman lagi.

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
