Icy Aircon Enhancer ???

A Toyota dealership recommended a service called "Icy Aircon Enhancer" which is done every 25-30k kilometer PMS. It costs 1,700 pesos for that ICY bottle/can.

Have anybody experienced this being offered and is it necessary? Or is it just a marketing gimmick like fuel treatment, gas injector cleaning, and excel engine flush?

No need to put anything in your a.c. if it's working just fine

This is what bothers me with casa. They now peddle products that doesn't really offer real benefits and services they know isn't needed.

The job order did state "Perform Icy Aircon Freon Enhancer". Not really sure what it does, although the SA said it does not add any freon, but recommended to perform it for cleaning and protection purposes.

Isn't our car aircon sealed system so you really do not have to clean it?
