Even the Camry does not have backup sensor/camera. No safety sense kahit sa totl. LMAO!

Last week 100k discount nung facelifted starex. Magkano kaya ngayon na lumabas na ang new hiace?

Firesale na Hyundai Starex. Next release, expect a HARI special Starex with zero airbags. HARI going backwards, even good luck can't save poor product planning.

No matter what they pit against the Hiace, no other van has overtaken it in terms of sales. Regardless if it had the 102 hp, the 134 hp, even with the price increase, even with the release of the NV350, Hiace really leads the sales with a big margin. I think the all new Hiace will still lead the van segment given its more powerful engine and new look.

    Cost of ownership.

My SG is turning 5 yrs old in Aug and has traveled more than 67k kms, that van is cheap to maintain and a performer. Before buying it back in 2014, I couldn’t also understand why would it cost almost 2M yet it only has those specs. Almost 5 yrs after, I never regretted my purchase. It has captain seats, very spacious, I can put anything in that van, bring it anywhere and it will run. The most number of full sized adults that it carried was 18 and one of their companion was at least 230 lbs so he sat in front and it was no sweat when it ran. Up to now whenever I recall that I still don’t know how they squeezed themselves given that the seating capacity of SG is only 11, driver included. It might not sprint as fast as other more powerful vans but it can run side by side the whole stretch of our expressways at 145 kph without any problem.

When I went to Bacolod last month and rented a vehicle (self drive), I got the brand new Innova, base model, and whenever I turned off the eco button, it becomes a sprinter and a joy to drive. If this all new Hiace has the same engine, I can already see the smiles on the faces of the new owners.

you should see the frown on my face, when these toyota vans weave in and out of traffic in the expressway, un-thinking of the danger they pose to us lolo drivers.
    yes, they're fast.

The very bad is, the Commuter Deluxe and GL Grandia doesn't have rear aircon vents for the 3rd and 4th row passengers. A big turn off.

Yes, it is huge, spacious, all new, but how can a 2M vehicle won't have aircon vents at the back.

My wishlist for future release of grandia
    Movable seats
    3 rows of seats
Air vents up to the last row (gl variant)
    Rear disc brakes
    Rear coil springs
    Independent suspension
    Projector headlights
    Less than 2M pricetag

Just rode an old starex of a friend (the last facelift before the current gen arrived). Seated at the second row. Malakas yung aircon, abot hanggang sa second row.

I just wish yung aircon ng new hiace will be enough to cool up to the third row.

Tama ka bro, the older model of hi ace has rear aircon vents na ceiling mounted, same as the starex, up to the last row.

But the new one has none (ceiling mounted), ang reat aircon nya ay yun lang nasa ulunan lang ng front passemgers and driver.

Instead na aircon vents, they put ceiling mounted speakers [emoji23]

    From Toyota PH,

All models have 16 inch wheels. Only the tire width varies. 215 for the commuter and 235 for the higher models.

Agree on the lack of ac vents. Kulang yan kapag tirik ang araw. I have yet to see one on the road. As of today, none yet.
