With a base price of almost 1.6M, it might be yielding the UV Express and corporate fleet market to the NV350.
They badged it as Commuter "Deluxe". Perhaps the old cab-over Commuter will still be available?

The UV Express drivers are going to have a blast driving this thing.
Un ngang 102 hp Hiace can run effortlessly even with full load, how much more this all new with 163 & 172 hp engines.
I think they'll probably offer the old Commuter alongside the new model. Price gap is too big for UV Express use.
Do the old Grandias already have Macpherson struts up front? Kinda bummed about the rear suspension. Still a leaf spring setup. Hope it's at least as soft as the NV350's.
mahal din 2.2M for TOTL
hinayang na sana ako coz we just got the new Starex facelift for the fam, may TV na daw ba sa likod yan at captain seats na ba? kasi Starex 2M flat lang may tV and captain seats na.
as compared to similar to this photo with the new HARI facelift Starex

if they move 2000 units in a month and over priced by .5m
thats 1B 😱 monthly. thats just one model
Dadapa yan kung coil sprung ang likod. So logical choice should be leaf springs. The Old Grandia LXV was already 2M, outdated platform and all.

Is it really the coils that are the culprits sa pagdapa? Pwede naman kasi gumamit sila ng coilsprings with a much higher load capacity. . .. yun elf ko has a relatively soft ride when unladen. . . Kaso pag kinargahan dapa na. . . So we just added additional leaf springs. .

Pero syempre the thicker you make the coils, ride naman ang mag suffer. Perfect example was the 2nd gen “10 seater” CR-V who got beefier coils in anticipation of 10 people.

There are dual rate coil springs naman. In the Australian market NP300 it can carry the same payload as a leaf sprung pickup while maintaining ride quality laden or unladen. It doesn't get compressed that much when fully loaded either.
I just think there's a disconnect with the supposedly higher end models having a car like front end (Macpherson struts) and a leaf sprung rear.
For the Commuter model it's par for the course I guess.
I think the Grandia Tourer was introduced to take on the View Traveller, since the LXV too upscale to compete.

PH market got robbed of features. Other markets gonna get 9 airbags, Toyota safety sense. To think we're the largest market outside Japan for this vehicle.
