High Peak can only be climbed when accompanied by Mr. Phil G. Ungas of Tsikot.com/DieselClub.org regularly coordinates with Mr. Phil.

We are planning for an October climb and you are most welcome to join us if and when it pushes through.

Check out the Hi-Peak pics in our photo albums.

Keep in mind that this is a three day trip (sleepover in a Zambales resort and another night on top of Hi-Peak).

Pampanga trips are usually day trips. Balikan lang.

Check out the Hi-Peak pics. The silver GEN I is powered by a 2.6 gasoline engine (USDM). Kayang kaya niya. Yung Pajero ko stock din. Even the Suzuki Jimny and Vitara with us were also stock. Mas mahirap pa nga ang Pampanga in some aspects.

Usually Porac or within Clark ang off-roading. We coordinate with the Pampanga Off-Roaders Club, Inc. (PORCI) para may kasama kaming rescue truck (yung may winch). Wala kasi kaming winch and recovery equipment of our own, eh.

Recommend ko sa iyo sir garyq ay remove your stepboards and that low hanging rear foglamp before the trip. Removing the front lamp holder could also improve your approach angle.

I think a Bighorn can take it. The last Trooper that attempted Hi-Peak really made an ass of himself. Dapat itaas niyo ulit ang bandera ng Troopers.

nicoboy2::: Are those All Terrain treads? AT tires are recommended. I've seen street tires suffer from punctures and it's a real bummer along the trail.

As they say, with stock suspension setups, better remove those stepboards and mudguards. It is likely to be damaged with some rocks along the way.

yup, a/t thread... dunlop sp tgr although need to replace them in a few months na rin... saw the pics i'm thinkn i might get puntures since my tire threads are around 30% nalang. Good thing i dont have step boards

Master Ungas: hassle ata i-remove yung stepboards ko pero tingnan ko bukas. M seriously considering joining you guys kung matutuloy but prepare ko muna yung rig ko.

nicoboy2::: If you could find a bargain 2nd hand AT tires much better. It's not ideal to trail with less tread deep ones. Even some new AT treads are having difficulty gaining traction. Then spend some of your money for some street tires for every day use.

garyq::: Bossing, with regards, to your stepboards, mas prone pa pong sumabit ang skid plates ng Trooper kesa dun. But with full driver undaunted instinct, I'm prety sure you can trail it easily with loosing them. Tatag ng loob ang kailangan. Better come prepared than sorry. :D

Wide tires are not required in Hi-Peak. You don't need much flotation there as the ground is hard.

Sir garyq, unless welded on yung stepboard mo, matatanggal iyan. hehehe. Sa Pajero 8 nuts per side ata if I remember right. Pero mabilis lang.

Yung skidplate kung sumabit hindi naman nalulukot or hindi naman halatang nalukot unlike the steps.
