Look at your brake pedal where the rod goes up under the dash. There is switch acts like a big click type pen and when you push the pedal the rod comes away from the switch...letting the plunger out which activates the lights. It may need to adjusted back or spray it with WD40 to lubricate the switch plunger, if does not work replaced the switch..cheap and easy to install.

i'm not familiar w/ toyotas but maybe the rubber stopper on your brake switch (located on your brake stalk) is already broken. as bro v6 dreamer has said, it's quite easy to locate and to fix or replace

ah stop light pala problema....magaling! joke nababaha ka no? seriously, ngayong tag-ulan uso yan dahil sa moisture build up kaya WD40 lang sa break pedal switch. pag naulit, pakiramdaman mo rin ang break kung may dikit. malalim ba break pedal mo?
