All local Camrys are front wheel drive. Fuel consumption is 5.4-5.7 km/liter. The 2.4 V Camry has more toys (power rear seat, remote control rear seat console, rear door blinds, powered rear blinds...) compared to the accord. It is more a rear passenger car with its softer suspension. The Accord is a driver's car with a stiffer suspension. Also the accord 2.4 has a black leather, compared to the easy to get dirty beige interior of the camry.

Ditto on the Accord being more driver oriented.

On a sidenote, I was at Greenfuel today and saw a late-model Camry 2.4 with an LPG kit.

I guess the fuel will more or less the same between the two since Honda high-tech VCM engine is on the 3.5 liter model.

thanks again. the only thing thats holding me from getting an accord is there are too many old model accord that are dilapidated "laspag" on the streets. unlike camry kahit luma na parang elegant pa rin.

I got a 2.4 Camry in 2008. I was only doing around 6 kpl. It was totalled by Ondoy. I did not replace it with another Camry but with Montero because of the low FC.

I think bottom line is if you value fuel consumption above bang-for-the-buck quality and features then don't get a Camry. There is no way to compare a Vios, City, etc. to a Camry, no contest. A second hand Camry trumps a brand new compact car any day.

I've owned my 03 2.4V since 2010 (post-Ondoy). Acquired the car with 81k kms on the Odo. I'm now at 150k kms and still loving it. Unfortunately gusto na mag upgrade ni kumander so I am begrudgingly about to sell it in a month or 2. This is the best car that I've owned, period. Like ruggedyman naka Corona ako before, so fuel consumption was and never will be a priority for me. Overall quality has always been my deciding factor.

The biggest downside of owning a Camry? The cost of parts!!! Hardly any Japan-replacements available for the major parts. But yung pang periodic maintenance like brake pads, oil filters, etc, madali lang mahanap. Another downside pala is finding a mechanic who knows the Camry inside and out. But once you find one just go back to him for all your repairs/periodic maintenance para siguradong alaga ride mo. For those residing in the South I highly recommend Pronto along West service road (between Sucat and Alabang). Ok din kay Shaggy/Autotech along Singalong/near Quirino Ave. kung periodic maintenance lang papagawa mo.

All around sila, kayang-kaya ang under chassis. Or you can opt to bring your car to Cruven, I think they have a branch in Paranaque.

Clean throttle body with carb cleaner. Make sure you have a clean filter. Make sure your. Idle control valve is clean or new.

To test it remove it and shake pag walang tunog its clogged. Buy new one.

Check battery if ok ang power go to motolite service center and check the charging system.

Also check plugs replace with oem plugs.

Fuel should also be clean baka luma na ang in tank fuel filter or madumi na.

Mine was a dirty throttle body that and when i replaced the battery bumaba idle. The computer has to relearn the throttle body opening. Pag madumi it compensates.

Never had major problems with the camry s i had and have.

Vibration also might indicate damaged engine supports and or transmission support. Mura lang yan kahit replacement basta japan
