Hi Qkid
I have a 1998 HiLux as my daily driver.
It's been modified a bit and is great ride.
You have to keep in mind that it's truck so don't expect sedan or SUV like rides.
You can tweak the suspension components and that usually helps with the ride.
If it's in good condition (when and if you can find one for sale) just follow the maintenance schdule and you should be fine.
If you have any more questions and / or concerns, please do not hesitate to conatct me.
:regards:

It is quite reliable. However, having the smallest bed and cab in its class does have its limitations. This may or may not be an issue for you.
