Help! Oil problem

My engine oil is almost full when I check on the dipstick while engine is off. But when I started the engine the dipstick is dry and no presence of oil. What could be the problem? I dont see any oil leak either.

Car is corolla 1997 gli 1.6

To confirm or disregard your suspicion, pull at least one spark plug and check the electrodes for oil glazing

Kung nakatakbo ka na. I doubt, burning oil nga yan...I like gli big body, mas gusto ko pa ang porma kaysa sa mga latest. Magbebenta kaya ang Toyota ng brand new na VVT-I engine lang, then akma kaya kung ilalagay ko sa Toyota big body?...Any comment, kahit kalikot lang ng utak niyo, is highly appreciated.

tingnan mo tambucho kung may usok at palyado makina.

kung may lumalabas na langis sa tambucho mo at mausok sigurado piston/ring

Well i guess mali yung ginawa ko as it is not accurate pla to check the dipstick while engine is running. Oil is ok pa nman when i switched off the engine although nabawasan ng 1/4

how dry is it? pag oatay mo ng engine at check ng oil level, tama pa din ba ang oil level?

kung umaandar ang makina, tapos nag check ka sa dip stick, good sign kung walang traces ng oil, ibig sabihin maganda yung pump ng oil pump mo. kasi walang natitira sa oil pan.

There are about six drain holes in the cylinder head. If these are partially clogged, the oil that went up to the camshaft is not draining back fast enough back to the oil pan with the engine running. Check for sludge build up under the valve cover.

kasi bro, kapag umaandar ang makina, kasabay yung pag ikot ng oil pump.

yung oil pump, humihigop ng oil sa oil pan/reservoir.

kaya kung nag check ka ng oil dip stick habang umaandar ang makina, good sign kung walang reading sa dip stick. kasi nag cicirculate ng mabuti yung oil sa engine.

kasi kung may traces ng oil sa dip stick o kung may tumatalsik, ibig sabihin, mataas na yung blow-by gases na nakaka lusot sa half block (mechanics term - piston rings, bearings, clearances ng internals) or sirang PCV valve o low pressure na ang system.
