Have a compression test done first (wet and dry) so that you can determine what exactly is the cause of the loose compression. Also, "dukot" isnt really an adviseable way of properly overhauling an engine. On our 1300 Corolla before, i changed all the gaskets and piston rings using original parts and it didnt cost more than 15K (just shop around for the parts yourself).

might be good to let us know any other things you noticed ex. like hard start, white smoke idle, etc...

if smoke coming out on dipstick, have a compression test...
use the data.
if only the white smoke emits on idle after pushing hard the engine. example: after a stop on traffic lights, the smoke appears.... then it's likely the turbo.
a 2c-t surplus costs 18k-up.Last edited by rion; November 11th, 2007 at 01:43 AM.

Bakit 2 beses ka nagpadukot?
How is your liner/sleeve? Honing? Oversizing of rings? Piston grooves?
Turbo noise (sayad/m.m. contact)? Oil soaked intercooler(if any)?
There are 4 possible outlets of oil that should be maintained at a minimum or zero
1. Oil seal of turbo
2. Oil seal of valves
3. Oil ring of piston
4. Oil seal front and main(0)
