Hi guys. wanna ask you Fortuner owners, if you had HID's installed in your units, and was it thru the dealers or by a second party. Thanks

This is actually a concensus on Fortuner owners who had HID installed on their units. Just wanted to know.

HID on non projector-type headlamps is useless (and will only blind vehicles on the opposite lane).
Read this thread: Great HID writeup....

December 20th, 2005 10:20 AM #6Got the XENON HIDs sa Toyota Otis, actually kasama sa mga add-ons nila (25k sa kanila pero 20k lang sa xenon dealer) pero I don't think pinalitan nila the entire head lamps, just the lights. If this is the case saan kaya pwede makabili ng head lamps made specially for maximum HID lights effect and how much per set kaya?

ingat kyo sa HID, we had a Wurth HID kit installed on our Gen2 V which costs almost 60k, problem is it BURNED the chrome reflector, the burned part is visible at night.
we removed it ASAP. dont let the same thing happen to your headlight housing. and bear in mind, ours was a genuine German Wurth kit, what more a taiwan/china HID kit which doesnt even have standards for most of their products.
