with regards to the turbo of the fortuner, iba ang design nito, it has variable vanes to keep turbo lag at a minimum. so even if the rpm is low it still spins, unlike the turbo of older designed engines that it usually spools up in the 2500 up region. so even if slow driving or low rpm ka there is a chance na the turbo is spinning in the fortuner. better to have a timer installed.![]()

Not necessarily... I inquired about the OEM Turbo Timer there. It cost P4.5T daw. I got mine for P1.8T from Miggyboy. Wala nga lang installation.Originally Posted by letranboy

Don't take my word for it but I think I saw a set in one of those wheel stores along Tomas Mapua recently.
Sorry, MB wheels kasi ang pakay ko nun kaya I wasn't paying much attention.
You can also try US based auto recyclers if they have these in stock.

Need an Ambulance? We sell Zic Brand Oils and Lubricants. Please PM me.
Pre, don't forget to install an effective security system like a GSM car alarm. The risk is too high for these Fortuners to be taken away by carjackers nowadays.
nag tanong nga ako ng GSM medyo may kamahalan i think its 16K free installation. sayang hindi sila accept credit card, kuha sana ako eh.
Finally, I installed OME shocks to my fortuner this morning. As expected the ride is noticeably softer. I'll give it a few more days and kilometers to set in before I report the results.
Bro, where did you buy your shocks and how much?Originally Posted by chorizo
RATS Katipunan, P26,800 including labor cash or card. Sabi nila I'm only the second 4x2, puro 4x4 yung napalitan nila. I'll do a full comparison this week with my officemate's stock 4x2. Baka kasi psychological lang yung changes na napansin ko dahil sa $$$ na ginastos ko. :bwahaha:Originally Posted by jameschu777

Sorry for the late reply, dsl problems.Originally Posted by liliputman
I've logged almost 2000km with the OME and I can say the ride did improve. The bounce is still there but blunt as compared to being sharp with the stock shocks. I rode in the 3rd row (as the 6th passenger) for the 1st time since I changed the shocks to check the ride a few days ago and it was comfortable experience. My usual route would take me through the new katipunan/blue ridge underpass and if you notice, the ateneo bound lane is bumpy coming out of the tunnel. My entire body would bop up and down in my chair before but not anymore.
It's worth the change IMO.
Hi chorizo, can you give me the exact address of RATS? thanksOriginally Posted by chorizo
Meron kayang backup sensors na color keyed sa bumper? Is this actually possible? Kasi the black sensors kinda ruins the look in some way (or maybe its just me) =) any recommendations? =)
