i have been mulling over this for some time now.
are they allowed to do this in their spare time, say, weekends?

Nagawa ko na to dati. Nagpagawa ako home service outside office hrs. Bahala na daw ako sa presyo. Gave him 2k ata o 3k. Di ko maalala. Pero ganun din. Same casa attitude. Sabihin nya kailangan na palitan to ganito ganyan at early age. Kaya di na naulit. Hehe

the "casa" is just a business. and you can't trust anyone or anything that's trying to sell you something

but they do a decent enough work if directly supervise what they're doing to your car

that's why i can't wait for the cheaper electric cars! imagine not having to deal w/ the casas very often. the electric motor's gonna last the lifetime of the car. no oil changes, no fuel/air/oil filters, no tuneups, etc.

You can nevervreally trust casa service. Why because like any other Filipino, if they dont own a vehicle as expensive as yours, meron 10% anarchism inside each and every one of them.. They'd say to themselves, ano bs naman ito mga may-ari, ang tanga-tanga sa car nila tapos mas magsling pa ako i-service. They dont deserve cars, i deserve this car. The world aint fair. So pag walang bisor, medyo sisirain nila tsikot mo

Can he/she take care of your health

That's a very cynical view naman.

Last week I left my car at the casa to work on the scratches at the bumper. I also complained about the noise in the cabin so we took the car for a test drive. The Toyota employee and I had a little chit chat while he was driving my car around and guess what car he owns? A Tucson. I'm sure a lot of them are car owners too

Have seen it all kasi. Meron mgs tiga-honda nag home service dati, pagdating sa bahay naka toyota sila. Tapos habsng nag home service panay putak nun isa na galit siya sa management ng honda

Tapos bigla ako bebentahan ng mas murang honda fluids.

These days, if people learning how to repair your phones, make an effort to learn how to repair your cars.

You know that adage that you have change your cars every 3 years, sinasadya nila yan, kasi ayaw nila mag-repair ng luma na car sa casa. Usually, niyayari nila yun may same model na car na na-srock up lang ng 1 week to 2 months dun

2 weeks? ... That's too long already ... They're just sitting on it ... Worst is they talked to OB and became more disillusioned ... You should follow up ...

Ang casa, importante ang space. Pano sila makaka accomodate ng more customers kung nakaparada lang dun cars nyo. So nakakapangduda pag pinapatagal nila

when i brought my car in for fixin', the battery was dead when i picked it up a week later.
my problem was, i don't know if they replaced the battery, or they ran it to the ground, discharging it.
the battery was already two years old then...

today, i put marks on the battery, whenever i bring the car in.

For the CASA it should only take up to a week, IMO.

For non-CASA shops they can do it in a day or two if it's just bumper repainting.

fortunately I had good experience with Honda Pampanga.
They simply follow whats on the checklist as per PMS booklet of the jazz.

Toyota pampanga on the other hand, tend to overcharge, they add bits and pieces of unnecessary items or work order. for example, those X1r, additive stuff, they tend to overdo on certain items as well like for example the amount of oil they charge for, our avanza uses 3 liters only, but when i checked the job order, 4 liters was charged, it was my dad who brought the unit to the casa so i only found out about it after the service has already been done. if it was me who brought it in, i would have asked to remove those unnecessary items.

carworld pampanga is similar to toyota pamp, they add in those extra stuff, like the x1r, anti smoke treatment, etc etc. last time i brought in my monty was for its 1k pms, i checked what was on the invoice and asked to remove those unnecessary items.

i've heard horror stories of parts swapping and "barubal" service from other casa, im lucky enough not to be be a victim of those. i guess, just label your stuff accordingly. take pictures before bringing it in the casa.

also be vigilant what they put in the Job order so that you can minimize those unnecessary services & products.

Akala ko Honda lang ang parokyano ng lintek na X1R na yan.

Last PMS ko din, natuwa ako sa Honda Pasig they followed what is a must lang.

When I had my 10k PMS, I asked the SA to remove the unnecessary items, then I saw his face droop. Jeez, I told myself, sana ang ilagay nya yung order ko na FS oil at hindi nila ako palusutan ng ordinary oil, also sana palitan nila yung crush washer at hindi i-re-use yung luma tutal bayad naman yun and lastly sana walang mawala o masirang ibang part sa car ko.
