fortunately I had good experience with Honda Pampanga.
They simply follow whats on the checklist as per PMS booklet of the jazz.

Toyota pampanga on the other hand, tend to overcharge, they add bits and pieces of unnecessary items or work order. for example, those X1r, additive stuff, they tend to overdo on certain items as well like for example the amount of oil they charge for, our avanza uses 3 liters only, but when i checked the job order, 4 liters was charged, it was my dad who brought the unit to the casa so i only found out about it after the service has already been done. if it was me who brought it in, i would have asked to remove those unnecessary items.

carworld pampanga is similar to toyota pamp, they add in those extra stuff, like the x1r, anti smoke treatment, etc etc. last time i brought in my monty was for its 1k pms, i checked what was on the invoice and asked to remove those unnecessary items.

i've heard horror stories of parts swapping and "barubal" service from other casa, im lucky enough not to be be a victim of those. i guess, just label your stuff accordingly. take pictures before bringing it in the casa.

also be vigilant what they put in the Job order so that you can minimize those unnecessary services & products.

Akala ko Honda lang ang parokyano ng lintek na X1R na yan.

Last PMS ko din, natuwa ako sa Honda Pasig they followed what is a must lang.

When I had my 10k PMS, I asked the SA to remove the unnecessary items, then I saw his face droop. Jeez, I told myself, sana ang ilagay nya yung order ko na FS oil at hindi nila ako palusutan ng ordinary oil, also sana palitan nila yung crush washer at hindi i-re-use yung luma tutal bayad naman yun and lastly sana walang mawala o masirang ibang part sa car ko.

CASA is high price and high danger risk for your vehicle.

abt 2 yrs back, i decided to have PMS sa isang branch that was closer to my place.
a check of the drivetrain ang sinabi ko sa SA during PMS kasi may naririnig ako.
afterwards ang recommendation nila is to change the steering column linkage.
e kako, sure kayo dyan? sobra lang 1 year yan - sabi dun daw at na-check nila.
okay sige under warranty naman e.

ok naman nawala tunog, pero 3 days meron ulit.

so i went to my original casa (dun galing unit kaso medyo malayo lang kasi, and kilala ko VP-Opns/co-owner)
aba iba nakita, meron lang isang retaining bolt na maluwag. a simple 20 peso bolt preventing a 10k part + labor.
with my doubts i then had the steering column checked and buti naman pinalitan talaga.

they made a report on it, sabi ko sa kaibigan ko, wala sa ayos yung branch na yun ah.
ibang group daw kasi nag-ooperate and may incidence nga ng palit piyesa, back job, request replacement na kakahuyin, etc.

so do i still trust the casa? yes & no - as much as there are bad ones,
meron pa rin naman dedicated and reputable people who ensure quality sa mga casa.
problema is their 'system' if embedded na yung mga M.O. na yan.

guarded trust at least until 100,000 kms or 3 years, whichever comes first.
then i'll go my own way:

out of warranty PMS: every 10 k lang, have the vehicle checked only, get their recommendations (any advice is better than nothing) but get the work needed done somewhere else, may tatak naman yung service record para masabi casa maintained

Hi, has anyone here had their car key battery changed outside the CASA? I have a 2010 fortuner, CASA says they should be the ones to change battery as baka masira kung hindi sila gumawa. Back in the day kami lang nagpapalit ng battery or sa mall lang pwede na. Im not sure with these new keys though..

    that is true.
the danger with trying to do it yourself even if you do not know how... is that you might crack or break something.
i replace my battery myself. but that is because i know how, enough as to be confident that i will not break anything.
i got lucky... i did not know how before, and i did not break anything while tinkering with it to learn how.

do what others do. watch someone do it, then do it yourself.

I don't think thats a keyless entry type keyfob. You should be able to replace it without issue. Cr1632 ata battery nyan. Hindi pa complicated keyfob yan hehehe.

Imo, if the instructions are in your user's manual then it doesn't need to be done sa casa.

Beware of Washington at ATC, the old guy there damaged my omega when he replaced the battery.

I had my 1000k PMS a week ago sa Toyota North EDSA, so far ok naman. I was able to watch my car while being serviced, also they didn't try to rip me off by adding unnecessary items when they quoted me for my PMS. I only paid for the oil that was replaced, no more, no less.

This happened to my friend's dad way back 2008 or 2009 I think. He had his innova serviced at toyota cubao for routine check up. they told him to come back after a few days to pick up his vehicle. So he went back on the said date. When he arrived, the vehicle wasn't released yet & told him to wait. After an hour or so, he noticed na nagkukumpulan yung mga staff ng toyota cubao. Eventually, the manager went up to him & said that they couldn't find his innova!!! His innova was missing!!! My friend's dad demanded that they replace his innova. After 2 weeks, they replaced it w/ a brand new 2009 innova. But still, di ko pa din maisip kung pano nawala yung innova sa loob pa ng casa mismo! We had a feeling it was an inside job & we heard the security agency had to pay for it.

Story of a friend of a friend of a friend ... very improbable story ... routine check up that takes more than a day? Then the car disappears? Why would the thieves steal a vehicle from the dealer? They can do that in any street or parking lot with lesser hassle.

Hey, I understand your suspicions as it sounds really improbable. It did not happen to a friend of a friend of a friend. It really happened to my friend's dad, their car. I was surprised too as well when he told me about it way back then. But I've known this friend of mine & his family for more than 20 years, I have no reason to doubt them.

No offense but we also hear the same from friends / relatives / neighbors of serial killers, terrorists, suicide bombers, etc.

puede rin, but doubtful, in my opinion.
casa wants to get rid of the vehicles as fast as possible, due to pile-up of vehicles for servicing.
there probably is more to the story...
