    hi,

got our b new innova gas e yesterday and after approx 100km of driving around, the ps was humming when turning left and right.

after parking overnight, i just found a large spot of fluid leak under the driver side steering boot - 2 palms wide is the area covered by the leak. i touched the driver side steering boot and its really wet with fluid.

any experience with this kind of problem? what course of actions should i take when i get back to the dealer tomorrow?

what are the options? what actions should i take as an owner?
    - change unit?
    - change rack?
    - repair - NOT my option!

change unit - impossible for them papers on the process
change rack - if possible let them change it
repair - make a mark so that you will know that they really changed it

just a thought, unit was taken saturday, so no gov't office. if we're gonna bring it back monday morning tomorrow, then no papers processed yet. so technically, no papers on the process yet.

Geez, what happened to the so-called Toyota reliability.

Changed unit- i think you deserved it but sadly its the least likely to happened. What is most likely is for the dealer to repair it which is least savory for your.

So find a common ground. It is really an unfortunate event.

Pa warranty. Malabo yung change unit.

Changing the entire rack/assembly may be more reasonable.

unless they cannot repair the defect. pwede mo yan papalitan ng unit. yung isang officemate ko, nasira yung aircon system ng vios nya during pms at hindi naayos ng casa, the unit was upgraded to a bnew Innova. she just added kung ano price diff ng 2 vehicles.

And in the unlikelyhood that they replace your unit,I pledge that my next car would be a Toyota.
