Particularly ung automatic gear box nya since more or less 7yrs old na sya?

    Tnx mga chief

Nabili mo ba second hand ang kotse? Standard procedure after purchasing would be to replace all vital engine fluids (coolant, power steering fluid, ATF fluid, engine oil, brake fluid, etc).

Regarding the ATF, buy the original from Toyota (ATF Type T-IV, required fluid change interval is every 40K mileage). Do not replace with any other fluid other than the ones recommended by Toyota.

almost the same lang ang maintenance ng 1.3, 1.5 at 1.6 na toyota. every 5K (and every change oil) palit oil filter. every 40K palit lahat ng fluids. spark plugs palit every 10,000 km or 20,000 km. air filter every 20,000 km pero better kung every 10,000 km. change oil ay depende kung mineral or full synthetic. mineral everu 5,000 km. syntheic every 10,000 km.

every 20,000 km ay aircon maintenance.

kaso altis, it sill be better to change oil earlier. 4,000 km (mineral) and 8,000 km (synthetic).

    I am using:
+ toyota type IV ATF for the ATF and Power steering.
    + prestone brake fluid
+ toyota long life coolant, pero for now, distilled water muna
+ castrol semi synthetic oil (palit every 5,000 km) good for 7,000 km 10W-40

I was planning to use toyota mineral oil kaso malapot pala at 20W-50.

Thank you very much sa mga reply and inputs nyo mga chief.

Yes second-hand na sya, pero casa maintained (as far as I know) kase service vehicle sya nung bayaw ko so I would think na maaring original Toyota fluids lang ang ginagamit nila tho tama kayo, it would still be better to check and replace the fluids if necessary.

I still need to confirm the mileage first. Kaya medyo napaisip lang ako na baka laspag na rin yung automatic transmission nya at ako lang din ang mahirap mag maintain nito in the long run.

with regards to the sludge naman, at lease it's good to know na may paraan din palang malinis at matanggal to from your engine completely. Pero how do you prevent it from coming back?

early change oils than scheduled will help lessen the possibility of sludge.
