[SIZE="3"]Hi sana po matulungan niyo ko dito sa problem ko.. recently lang dahil sa ondoy di ko alam na nabasa ung ECU ko. di ko kase alam na nasa floor pala halos siya nakalagay. pagbukas ko ng ECU may isang part na SUNOG... tapos ayun di na magstart car ko. don't have enough budget to buy a new one or a surplus one. pwede pa ba marepair ito? kahit replacement lang ng parts inside? a lot of my friends just made it repaired lang and it costed around 4-6k.

October 20th, 2009 10:03 AM #5Hello Matsuda 0870
Regarding your burned ecm I saw the picture and it seem that it is repairable since the technology was not of latest smd type or surface mounted devices. But the consequences that you may face is that if that burned part affects the main cpu. Not only that if your car was not properly cleaned and all other electrical component controlled and feeds data to the computer such as relays and sensors have moisture in it, this may cause your computer to have short circuit, even though you replace it with a new one this will just cost you more since it will just get burned later on. I suggest for you to do this step to look for not just a conventional mechanic but who knows the latest trend of cars. FYI model 94 and below are OBD1 model 95 and up are OBD2. OBD's are the On Board Diagnostics consist of the PCM/ECM/ECU this are all the same ECU, is used by toyota. Manufacturer have gone to the latest OBD2 the reason is that, for us consumer to have a car with a better fuel efficiency, more power and very low emmision to protect our environment. Try to call this number and ask for estimate 09207802689. Thanks

I sure hope konti lang sira ng ECU nila... otherwise -- talagang magastos.
thats the reason why people should really remove the battery connections in case or in the event of an anticipated flooding.
I agree with what EWA boys said, if the problem reaches the main CPU - thats like the main brain of the module... then - fixing it will not really be a good idea.... it's like throwing away money.
Some wisdom from the elders... sa paghangad ng isang dakot, isang salop ang nawala.
Check out first how much CASA, Speedlab or the number ewa boys gave, see if you can afford it. I'm pretty sure they wont make you spend if the ECU is diagnozed to be beyond repairable condition.

The parts that shown, a Power Supply(PS) section, madaling marepair yan
Can you post more clearer pics of the damaged parts including the back(PCB foil side)

Flux grease yung ginagamit kapag nag sosolder na parang paste. lagyan mo lang muna yung board using old toothbrush.
