guys tanong lang ano mabilis masira sa revo nyo? ano na ang mga napagawa ninyo? kamusta naman ang pang ilalim nito mabilis ba masira? mura lang ba mga pyesa nito. nag hahanap kasi ako ng daily car to be driven 900++kms per week. isip ko revo diesel since diesel is cheaper and most owners say it handles like a car. (so hindi nakakapagod masyado, im driving crosswind xuv and it feels like im driving a truck)
comments lang, thanks!

i own a Revo SR-J 2.0L gas A/T.. no major repair since.. just the usual pms lang.. medyo high mileage lang dahil sa nature of my business.. running 7 days a week (averaging 1,500 kms/month).. i'm getting 9km/L city/highway driving..
repairs done except pms..
50k kms - replace tires, battery, fog light bulb
70k kms - replace ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearing, brake pads F/R
around 87k, nasira yung power antenna. malapit na mag 90k di ko pa rin napagawa.. kung bakit naman kasi pag binuksan ko yung HU, taas din antenna kahit cd player gamitin ko.. hehe..
generally, easy and cheap to maintain. parts are relatively cheap even OEM brands.. balak ko na nga palitan since early last year pero parang wala pa din mapili that suits my needs.. siguro kung maglalabas ulit ng new revo baka yun na lang.. IMO, mas comfortable ako gamitin revo kesa sa car ko..

my dad owns a 2000 Revo GL diesel .. nasa 105,000km na odometer reading nya ngayon
normal PMS lang and palit timing belt sa 80,000km, sinabay na namin palit ng water pump din yung fuel filter palit every 20,000km .. i think same as crosswind din..
orig pa lahat ng pang-ilalim nya including shocks and ball joints, etc, pati yung wheel alignment eh orig from day-1.. wala pa rin kabig hanggang ngayon.. regular wheel balancing lang gawa namin.. regular route nito is novaliches-ust, espana/manila .. so na-idaan na nila ito maraming beses sa espana, dimasalang na baha hehe.. syempre di naman yung mga sobrang taas..
just like the crosswind, walang ECU box ang revo diesel, even the voltage regulator eh yung primitive relay type din hehe.. sa mga revo gas variants kasi eh meron ECU box ang IC type voltage regulators
mga major parts na napalitan na nasira:
1) Sanden compressor after 5 years or nung mga nasa 95,000km odometer reading, pinalitan ni Mang Mario ng surplus denso.. malamig na ulit .. mga 5K din gastos
mga nasira:
1) radiator at 85,000km odometer reading or after 4.5 years, nabutas lang at hinang lang then ok na..
yung battery eh palit every 2 years using motolite exceed..
all revo variants GLX, SR, SRJ, LXV, VX200, VX200J, VX240D eh all power na po..
-power windows
-power door locks
-power side view mirror
-w/ alarm
-w/ rear wiper and defogger
-w/ 3pt seatbelt sa 2nd row..
-w/ foglightsLast edited by revoGSX; May 2nd, 2006 at 07:48 PM.

then, i personally own a 2003 revo GSX 2.0 gas M/T .. nag-asawa na ako nung 2002 so kelangan ko ng sariling sasakyan hehe.. maka-revo ba kami?? hehe.. wala lang nung time kasi na naghahanap ako nasisikipan ako sa adventure at parang overpriced ang mga crosswinds at maingay diesel..
warranty replacement done by toyota makati:
-aircon hose leak (sagot ng toyota ang freon replacement)
-moist foglight
so far all stock itong revo 2.0 gas namin.. lamon lang talaga sa gas hehe.. 5.0 to 6.0km/L city driving.. never pa ako naka 9.0km/L sa highway..
for me lang po, i would say na ok yung riding comfort and ok naman sa long drive, pero i would say na mas okay yung riding comfort ng revo diesel ng erpats ko dahil gamit nya is bridgestone dueler A/T on 14inch mags, other that the tires hindi ko na alam kung bakit mas matalbog revo ko hehe... pero acceptable naman yung talbog..
if your travelling 1500km a week, why not get an A/T vehicle na lang like crosswinds A/t? although mabagal pero di ka po gaano mapapagod siguro?? or an A/T sedan or SUVs?
btw, long-throw lahat ng M/T transmission ng revo, also includes innova, hilux and hiace.. nakaka-contribute ang long-throw type sa pagod on a long drive even on traffic din..
if your driving a crosswind right now and switched to revo gas 1.8 or 2.0 .. mag-doble po ang fuel bills mo.. i'm sure about this..
pero if your driving a crosswind then switched to revo diesel.. no need to worry about fuel bills.. konti lang difference nya..
the old toyota PH website can be found at the www.toyota-revo.com nasa mainpage po yung link

my crosswind is automatic. un pagod nararamdaman ko sa xwind ko e dahil mabagal sya, parang atat ka na tumakbo ng mabilis pero ayaw naman. then nakakapagod din kasi panay garulgol ng makina naririnig ko. kaya im leaning towards a more carlike auv. yes revo diesel ang nasa isip ko.

Mga Bro , mine is 20001SR /MT Gas so far I have no Major problems encountered until this time. What I've done is the front face lift upgrade (head lights & Fog lights, Grill & bumper) VX lookalike na with rear stop lamp upgrade also I change my tire from 195X65X15 to 205X70X15 with the original rims. Also I'm using Mobi1 0-40W. Well after the upgrade done I still retain the New look for a 5yr old car the Km reading is 15kms only I'm a satisfied REVO owner. I also ICE using JVC DVD HU and JVC SEPS
