[SIZE=4]Toyota's on the road for it's 10th Triple Crown[/SIZE]



For the past nine years, Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) has practically dominated the car market in the Philippines. But in 2011, they came close to losing the title to Mitsubishi. Luckily, supply once again normalized and it looks like they're back on track to win their 10th successive Triple Crown.

Toyota has sold a total of 34,190 units this year earning 36.7% of the market share according to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI). They also achieved the highest market share on all vehicle segments and sold 4,832 vehicles in August. In the passenger car segment, Toyota's supremacy is undeniable with total sales accumulating to 1,734 units, 1,365 of which are comprised Vios' - the country's best selling vehicle.
