good morning sir, im looking for a camry second gen. then i saw this unit, a 2004 camry 2.4 E, is there such thing na "E" variant sha then 2.4? naglabas ba talaga ang toyota neto? kasi as far as i know 2.4 is the high end version right? so parang contrast sha sa "E" variant which is the lowest variant. but if there is really such variant na 2.4E hope you could help me kung anu yung mga difference niya with the V or G variant.
because im looking at 2 units right now, a camry 2003 2.0V and this one 2.4E. please help me decide on what to get. thank you.

Yes, there was a 2.4E variant before.
Basically, it has a more powerful engine but with the features of the base E.
Anyway, I suggest you get the 2.0G/V. More toys plus you get an already-adequate engine.
or
If you want more power and since your buying a Camry, you might want to consider the 2.4V. You get the 2.4 VVT-i engine plus all the toys of the V variant (e.g Leather Seats, Fog Lamps, etc.).
Hope this helps:

thank you for your reply sir, but what specifically is the difference sir? kasi yung tinitingnan kong 2004 2.4E may fog lamps nadin sha, then nakaleather seats nadin. ang napansin ko lang na kakaiba is hindi sha naka wood panelling. kaya nahirapan naman ako magdecide is that yung 2.0V naman na pinagpipilian ko is a 2003 model.. so mas matanda ng 1 year.. then hindi pa sha nakaprojector HL.. napansin ko naman na naka digital aircon switch nadin yung 2004 2.4E.. any difference maliban sa leather seat, fog lams n wood paneling? like airbags? or what?

The 2.4E is basically the VERY base model of the Camry Gen 2.5 Series (2005-2006) as the 2.0 VVT-i engine was already deleted on this particular facelift.
While the 2.0V is AFAIK, second to the Top-of-the-line variant of the Camry Gen 2 Series (2003-2005, pre-facelift)
The notable differences between the Gen2.5 Camry 2.4E and the Gen2 Camry 2.0V are:
2.4E Gen2.5
Obviously, Bigger engine
Projector Headlights
LED Taillights
Front and Back Proximity Sensors
Urethane Steering Wheel
Fabric Seats
No Fog Lamps
Grey interior
2.0V Gen2
Smaller engine
Multi-Reflector Headlights
Multi-Reflector Taillights
No F/R Proximity Sensors
Leather+Wood trim Steering Wheel
Leather Seats
Fog Lamps
Wood and Beige interior
Both have:
Automatic Climate Control
Power Sidemirrors with Power fold function
Dual SRS Airbags
The Foglamps and the Leather Seats on the 2.4E that you're checking out might be aftermarket upgrades.
Then again, you might want to consider a 2005 2.4V if the budget permits. Anyway, the price difference isn't that high considering the features you get with the 2.4V

thank you sir for the inputs.. just got my camry! :jump2: i chose the 2004 2.4E kesa yung 2003 2.0G.. simply because mas new looks yung 2004. hehe then halos same price lang naman sila. anyways, another question mga sir. kasi yung key alarm nung camry medyo sira sira na, kaya i look at the net for some replacement, may nakita ako worth 800 yung 3 button key case. ok kaya to sir? or much better kung kuha nalang ako ng after marter na alarm then yun nalang ang ipakabit ko? anu ba ang mga consequence pag pinakabitan ko ng after market na alarm yung camry ko? like autopage sana yung ipapalagay ko? totoo ba na may chances na magloko na yung electronics ng kotche pag nagpakabit ka ng mga ganun set up? nawawala na daw yung antitheft sysytem? etc? TIA again mga sir! =)

Congrats on your new ride! Ganda niyan!
One dude told me it was Li-Ion. Another dude corrected him. AFAIK the Zenix gets the Li-Ion hence...
