August 12th, 2004 02:11 PM #1i need your opinion. my budget is up to 550k only (car plan) latest model is 2002. i'm choosing between a brand new vios 1.3 m/t or a second hand altis 2002 model. what should i go for?
the upsides of a brand new vios are:
-new so less head ache
-warranty of 3yrs or 100k
-better fuel consumption
upsides of altis are:
-more powerful engine
-more leg room (noticable ba vs vios?)
if you were in my place, what would you choose?

i will still go for the altis. since car plan yan, mas mataas ang resale value nyan. (tingin ko, mas mabagal din ang depreciation ng altis..) . imho.

i'd go with the altis.... am never really fond of subcompact cars...
plus, there was a vios review posted here... wherein the interior of the vios us just too cramped and that the space between the driver and front passenger is almost nonexistent.

2nd hand altis. madami ka pa mabibili na fresh pa.
A year ago we were able to buy a 2001 1.6E for P585K. Super fresh pa.

August 12th, 2004 03:48 PM #7Altis all the way, basta low mileage
anything less than 15,000 kms is practically brand new na rin.

ako cguro vios ako. kasi brand new less hassle at siguradong walang problema. ( at sarap ng amoy ng new car smell ).
saka mukhang tuloy tuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng gasolina kaya makakatipid ka pa.
agree ako syo. battery dying will be the next owner's problem. kaso the only reason I'm buying...
