BNEW Avanza J or 2nd hand Innova G 2005? Which is better?

Hi! This is my first time posting here, I'm having difficulties choosing between Innova G 2005 Diesel and a bnew Avanza J. I really need your help guys.

I have read different posts regarding these two vehicles but I can't still come up with which would be more suited for us. Budget is 600-650K

My questions are:

1) Is it okay to buy 2005 innova diesel? (yung nabasa ko po kasi usually after 5 years dun na lumalabas problems ng car. Eh kung diesel po siya mas mahal maintenance.)

2) Is it worth it if we buy Avanza J? (matataas po kami usually 3 kaming nakasakay pero minsan umaabot din hanggang 7-8pax. And di po ba siya underpowered kung ganun?)

3) Which is more fuel efficient?

Yun lang po muna.. TIA

Sir, laging mairerecommend sa'yo eh always go for brand new muna bago isiping mag second hand.
Also, yung 2005 release ng Innova D-4D is bothered with the injector problems pa (honestly yung sa kaibigan kong D-4D manual eh 2005 pa pero wala pa ring problema up to now). So I don't know kung gusto nyo pong irisk yung injector problems.

As for the Avanza J, sulit po yung purchase na yun and I hear stories our fellow tsikoteers na Avanza owners na walang kahirap hirap kahit yung 1.3 kahit 7 passengers pa.

I'm an Innova D-4D A/T owner and I get 9-10 km/l city driving. The Diesel I heard can reach 11-12 km/l city driving. The Avanza 1.3 I think can get around 11km/l as well. Mas mura nga lang po yung diesel.

Pagisipan nyo po muna pero always think brand new first. Makakaiwas sa gastos for the first 3 years of your car.

Sir, thanks sa reply, yun nga po ang iniisip rin namin lalo't wala naman kami kilala na nagbebenta ng Innova kaya if ever kukuha kami sa hindi kakilala. Mahirap na rin po yun lalo na kung di namin alam yung History nung car.

Malapit na rin po pala FC ng diesel na Innova sa vvt-i 1.3 ng Avanza, so sulit na rin. Yung sa Innova po pala what if gas ang kukunin? mas sulit ba kaysa Avanza J? Or sa brand new pa rin?

Baka may mairecommend din po pala kayo na SUV na nasa price range of 600-650K. Thanks ulit!

Iyong 2nd and third row ay na fold ang back rest sa seat tapos mag "tumble" forward.

Using another car as a reference. Iyong 2nd row parang ganito:



Sa iba kasi hanggang ganito lang sa 2nd row.



Iyong third row pag na ka "fold" looks something like this:

Ok an ok po pala Avanza flexible siya. Kala ko po kasi sa G variant lang available yung fold at tumble. Minsan po kasi nagkakarga din kami ng malalaking bagahe kaya para sa akin ok to..

Magkaibang class ang Avanza at Innova. If space is not a priority, go for the Avanza if not the innova.

Same tayo. Pag week days, 1 to 3 lang ang typical na sakay. pero pag gumimik with the family, 7 to 8 ang karga. This is the reason kung bakit ng Avanza ako imbes na Vios.

The G trim level has all of the current standard creature comforts. Unlike in the J whe you get power steering and 1 driver airbag (Avanza).

Assuming the the Innova G that you are getting has no D4D problem then it is a good car to buy. But mainteance wise, it is easier to maintain a brand new car than a 4 year old vehicle.

I would recommend that you get a brand new Avanza J na lang. But of course, depende pa rin sa needs mo at budget.

Ganyan na ganyan di po kami, lalo na pag umuuwi yung mga pinsan ko from manila. Ok lang po ba suspension ng Avanza pag 7-8 na ang karga? thanks po sa reply.

To give you an idea about the loading. Tinaggal ko ang 2nd and third row para maisakay ito. 6 feet long. naisara ko pa ang likod.

Toyota owns Lexus, Xion and Daihatsu. The Toyota Avanza is a rebadged Daihatsu Xenia.

Ano kaya ang part na pinalitan? Sa dami ng Avanza sa kalye natin. Dapat lang na mayroong mga avilable na parts.
