spiff41398 -- congrats on your new fortuner. mag check in ka na sa fortuner owners forum and tell us all about your ride - both good and bad

i suggest that you check with your dealer on effect on your warranty if you change your rims and tires. put the advise down in black and white para hindi ka mag ka problema in the future

Princess tire supply, Calhoon st. cor Evangelista. look for Rhomel. Dealer din sila ng Rota. I was able to haggle the 20k trade-in basta I bring to him the tires straight from the casa. I think kaya pa nga mas mataas eh. I'm having second thoughts na rin if I would trade-in the stock rims, (baka ma-void suspension warranty) If ever i change rims, I would get 265/50 R20 tires also. It's the size nearest to the OEM specs. 285 and greater width, kumakayod na daw.
Expect mo na that the ride comfort will suffer when you get low profile tires.
Keep me posted on the mags u get.

    Onestab,
They were able to fit 295/45R20s on a Fortuner at Tireboy a few weeks back. Best to fit the actual 285s first. Baka pwede yung 285 or 295s depende sa offset ng rim.

Dont trade in your stock wheels & rims, you might need them again someday.

Quick question: Ganito ba ang itsura ng 265/50 R20? Hindi ba parang masyadong makapal yung gulong?

I thought so too. Malamang 60 series no? O kaya 295/50?

made some research on what tire and wheel size would best fit the fortuner. (factor considered -- just the tire diameter). any suggestions?

is this available here in PI?

baka yung fortuner sa pic naka 295/50R20.

    lexus,
the 295/45R20 is a common size for 20s here in the PI, but the 305/40R21 isn't too common. not sure kung meron.

i'd say 295/50 would be fine. 40-45 would be dangerous on huge potholes..nagsisi nga ako na i got 40 series tires for the bimmer..pagnabengkong yan say byebye

Was able to visit Freddie's Tire Supply in Evangelista (same owners as Princess Tire supply) last Saturday.

Was quoted 31,000 for the ROTA Extreme 20s (Hyper silver). 17,000 each for Falken 265/50/20. 18,500 each for Falken 295/45/20. 15,000 trade-in value for the stock wheels/tires.

Ano ba mas okay? Hindi ba masyado ng out of spec yung 295/45?

waahhh.. almost a 100k already? plan ko din sana magpalit ng 20's pero having 2nd thoughts na... ang mahal ng tires eh. mas mahal pa yung tires kaysa sa rims eh.. hay buhay!!!!
