All New Toyota Corolla Cross

I haven't sat in a territory yet, pero looking at the dimensions it's 1936mm wide, that's wider than most ppvs. Compared the corolla cross which has a 1825mm width. 11cm is not "lang", malaki na yun.

Since you mentioned it, I took time to look at the Montero's dimensions, and the width is 1815 or 12cm tighter than territory. Though the montero is 20cm longer and 13 cm taller

Saw one in the flesh today, the front fenders don't look so bad sa actual compared to that in pictures. But then, Ang feeling ko napakasikip niya sa loob compared to the territory, and to think na 12 cms longer and wider lang naman ang difference, tapos 5 cm in height lang naman. Tapos puro plastic sa loob, I just don't know with the hybrid, kasi I didn't take a look

The interior of the Corolla Cross is not as big because it rides on a shorter wheelbase than the Altis. It's positioned as an in-between size Crossover. The Cross can either be a big sub-compact or a small compact, but seeing how Toyota put a twist-beam rear suspension, they seem to be treating it as a subcompact. The Territory is closer to the size of a Rav4.

Its not really raised. Its grounce clearance is only 161mm.

Like the Suzuki-Maruti Swift 1.2 that was sold here before.

I recall a lot of cars sold here before had some kind of raised-suspension (Asian Road Package), this was more obvious in some pre-2000s cars. I recall the local version of this gen Lancer (particularly the early 90s facelift) looked like it was so high off the ground.

Its based on their global platform. Theoretically scaleable for other regions.

Yung Mitsu ASX has a ground clearance of 195mm. It sits lower than the FXT which is around 221mm in ground clearance, the same as most PPVs.

Awful specs for the price

I'm planning to get this car, would it be worth it to go for the Hybrid? Other consideration is the HR-V and CX-3, can't get a car bigger that 1800mm since medyo masikip na sa garahe, the cross is just a tad bigger so it was added on my choices.

Too much money for the hybrid, just go with the base model. Honestly though, the Geely Coolray has a lot more to offer at a lower price. It just happened to be not Toyota or Honda.

I liked the coolray at first, but i didn’t like na yung mga owners are always harping about it being a volvo although a bit true. Also not sure about the reliability, this car is for my wife and i’d rather be safe with an established brand.

Geely owns Volvo and the Coolray uses the same platform as the Volvo XC40. It’s like VW using similar platforms for its brands (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda). The Coolray uses a newer engine that will find its way to the newer XC40 soon.

For less money, you can always buy your wife a Civic or Altis. These cars have proven to be reliable already. If you want to save a bit more, a City or Vios will do. If you have the extra money, you can always buy the Subaru XV.
