Diesel in a gasoline engine: Since diesel won't ignite when the spark plugs go off... it won't explode. It'll die on you. Clean off the plugs, drain the fuel system, and you're all right.

Gasoline in a diesel will, over time, destroy the fuel pump as it dries out the lubrication. If you run it long enough, the lack of lubricity will also the inside of your engine. If you fill a nearly empty tank of diesel with gasoline... then that's even worse...

I shudder to think about what it'd do to the sensitive components of a direct injection (CRDI) diesel... but the same can be said, I guess, for diesel in a direct-injection gasoline motor...

happened to me last year. nagpakarga lang ako ng worth 300 pesos dyan sa may TM Kalaw madaling araw kasi noon, baka kako maubos e sa may macapagal talaga ako nagpapakarga. Sinabi ko sa gasoline boy, diesel, nakasulat din sa may cap ng gas tank yung diesel. Tumatakbo yung makina ko kasi nagmamadali ako aabutan ng coding, nung isasara na ng gasboy yung fuel tank, sabi. " ay diesel pala" kaya pinatay ko agad yung makina. Matigas pa yung gasoline boy nung una, me CCTV camera yung gas station. Nakayapk pa yung gasboy at mukhang me tama, which is a clear violation of their workplace procedures. To cut the story short, pina drain namin sa casa yung fuel tank, di ko pinahatak, pina piggy back namin sa tow truck. Mabait naman yung manager ng gasoline station, mukhang may previous record na ng negligence yung boy, umabot ng mga 8K PHP ang expenses nila, which includes cost of draining ng fuel lines, towing at free full tank of diesel. Ang ride ko, Hyundai Tucson AT - CRDI. Ang pinakakabwisit ko dun, one week lang ang vacation ko dyan, nasayang pa yung isang araw since almost whole day ang service dyan sa mag Hyundai Macapagal.
Ang gas pump nila e yung nakasabit kaya di mo alam kung alin dun ang gas o diesel.

Lesson learned, wag papalit palit ng gas station hanggat maari, bumaba sa sasakyan at tignan mabuti kung ano ang ikinakarga sa oto mo.

pumara naman ang bro ko na akala baka kakilala lang.
yon pala nagpatulong dahil di umandar ang innova nya.
sabi nya umandar naman pagkatapos nya nagpa-gas, kaso itim ang lumabas sa exhaust then biglang di na gumana, kahit ilang start....
tanong ang bro ko kung ano ang nasa resibo, may nakitang diesel worth 1000pesos.

naabutan ko pa eto na naka tilt sa approach ng gas station para madrain lahat laman.

everytime na nagpapa gas ako, kinuha ko talaga ang resibo to double check kung tama ang fuel na nilagay, aside sa nakikita kung color green na noozle which is unleaded...
