salamat sa replies nyo. abandoned ginamit ko kasi hindi talaga ginamit for 2 months. nakita nyo yung puno sa harap nya? lahat ng nalagas na dahon nyan nasa car nung dinatnan ko. di ko na mabuksan yung doors, i needed to slowly open them baka masira ko kasi yung car door. tapos when i opened the hood no water, nearly ran out on oil, nearly empty na rin yung brake fluid. buti ofc mate ko na marunong sa car nag try mag connect ng cable kasi dead na raw battery to see kung ma start. nag crank sya pero hindi talaga mag start. i was about to get mad at my bro dahil sa pagpapabaya nya. , pero inisip ko lang na matututo rin sya, pag bumili na sya ng sarili nyang sasakyan. taga gamit lang kasi sya.

ang ganda ng feedback nyo, about getting a mechanic to check on it first baka mabenta ko pa sa medyo mataas na halaga. may tumingin, mechanic ko sa car ko, binarat, 60 k .sabi ko, ano ba sira, hindi nya disclose, hatakin nya raw and pay 60 k.

ang dating sa akin, he sees value in it still. di ko pa close kasi weird yung dating nya.

siguro kuha ako ng second opinion.

it is definitely more than 60K. you would probably just need to replace the sparkplug lang...electronic na yata yung contact points niyan.

i would highly suggest re-flushing the oil - probably with a engine flush para maalis yung mga latak na engine oil. Then new oil ulit. Then after 1500km, change oil ulit (para masa-id ang natitirang bad oil).

ganun din sa tranny oil at power steering oil. flush and replace. repack the wheel bearings. replace the brake fluid. replace the radiator fluid... first with distilled water then after a few runs replace again with distilled water and coolant.

siguro aabutin ka ng less than P10k to do all those.

kung pangit na paint, baka mahabol pa sa complete detailing nina big berts'.

ang alam kong running price ng ganyan can be near P90k... kung walang body repair needed.

Get a mechanic and have him quote you on how much to get the car going. Don't let him know you plan to sell it, else he may not tell you whats wrong - maybe a simple oil change, spark plug change, fuel repumping through the fuel lines, and might just offer to buy it at your loss.

yup, id say neglected car is better than abandoned. yung tumingin na buyer mechanic na nag offer ng 60 k hindi na nangungulit.

u surely are all experts on cars, i bet he is calculating expense over buying it kasi its not even running and he cannot check it unless he buys it.

i'd get another mechanic to check on it by next week. btw, san ba nag trade in ng cd car stereo to an mp3 car stereo?

yung pinull out ko na car stereo dito gusto kong i-upgrade to MP3 car stereo for myself. yan lang ang gusto kong i-save from the car to put it on my lovelife corolla.

nasira na fujitsu na stock nya, saka tape deck pa yun, i need to upgrade pero want to save baka trade in pa yung pioneer cd car stereo will save me 1500 or 2 thou. =)

Have it checked. If you can just spend 5-10 thousand for repairs, better have it in running condition before selling. If offers more value.

But if you're interested to just get rid of it, why not do a "bidding for as-is-where-is" process. Floor price of say, 50 thousand and post it at the classified section.
