The standard four-cylinder engine continues to displace 2.5 liters, but according to Toyota boasts a 15-percent increase in horsepower. There are no power figures, but a 15-percent bump would put it in the 200-horsepower range. Power is sent to a new eight-speed automatic, replacing the old six-speed. This should manage power well, and provide strong acceleration in more speed ranges. So seems like this will bring new things for better driving experience.
Is there any update when the new Rav4 will be released in the Philippines?

The RAV4 is a good CUV but the challenge with local Toyota dealers is that they don’t carry stocks of the RAV4. You can’t even test drive one if you are interested. If you really want one, you have to order it and it is considered sold to you.

The current RAV4 is pricey already by local pricing standards (1.4M+ for the base model 4x2, 1.8M+ for the top 4x2 model, 2M+ for the AWD model). It may be the same or even more expensive.

The new 2.0 M20FKS engine paired with Toyotas Dynamic Shift CVT with launch gear will be offered in some markets. This will be good if offered in the Philippines.

    Love the boxy looks!

Kinda reminds me of it's more luxurious brother, the RX.

actually, today's cars look like each other.
far cry from the 50s and 60s, when each car looked significantly different from each other.
