    Boxy na ulit. Sana hindi umabot sa P2m mark yung TOTL pag dating dito. Hintayin ko na lang ito kesa sa CRV.

    4x2 TOTL is P1.9m. Pero siguro mas tataas pa to dahil sa excise tax. I'll have to settle with the mid variants.

    The Rav4 is was outsold by the Tucson (diesel), CR-V (diesel + 7 seater) in 2017 by 3:1. No figures yet for the Forester (4x4 and turbo) but my bet is that Subaru won the sales figures vs the Rav4
    Unless Toyota decides to fight these three head-on, it will continue to remain as a niche product and won't be priced competitively.
    * sabagay di naman talaga competitive ang presyo ng lahat ng Toyota... malimit mas mahal kahit mas konti ang features

    The RAV4 is definitely channeling its more rugged siblings, the 4Runner and Tacoma. The large, trapezoidal grille is similar in many ways to the Tacoma TRD-Pro. The rear end seems inspired by the Toyota Highlander and even has shades of the Lexus NX (the two share the same platform). The standard four-cylinder engine continues to displace 2.5 liters, but according to Toyota boasts a 15-percent increase in horsepower.There are no power figures, but a 15-percent bump would put it in the 200-horsepower range. Power is sent to a new eight-speed automatic, replacing the old six-speed. This should manage power well, and provide strong acceleration in more speed ranges. So seems like this will bring new things for better driving experience.

    Is there any update when the new Rav4 will be released in the Philippines?

    review embargo to be lifted Nov20 worldwide.

    class leading mpg?
    class leading cabin nvh? sub 70db perhaps?
    IIHS top safety pick plus?
    most plush suspension rivalling the CRV?

    The higher grade hybrid at 2.5M is looking to be a bad deal since its the same 2wd drive train as the lower XLE variant.
    The hybrid camry, I believe, has all of the features, at a lower price of 2.35M.

    With gas prices rising, a hybrid may be the bridge before going all electric.

    2.5M for a FWD CUV with a hybrid engine? A bit pricey indeed.

    For the same amount of money, you can get a more luxurious ride in the CX9 Turbo Touring.

    Hybrids (mild hybrids not included) will be a very long bridge for us, before we go electric.
