Satisfied overall. Matipid at comfortable ride.

I think its a manufacturing defect for the shocks.

they used a consumable product that will last only during warranty.

its a business strategy. some will fail during warranty of course. say 5% of the 1500 monthly new fortuner owners. thats on 75 owners from "2016"

after 36months they will have more "return" business

it's like the tireman who scatters spikes on the road.
by the time the tire deflates, the car would have been too far away from the tireman's shop.

    "sino ang makikinabang?"

and for cars, "kaninong reputasyon ang masisira?"

Usually, companies recall for safety purposes. I dont think leaky shocks will make toyota issue a recall since it doesnt compromise safety. Theyll just replace as needed basis.
    Sino ba supplier nila?

Suspension also contributes control to your vehicle. Just like your steering, brakes.. Try to drive a busted shock on high speed at sa curves.

4x pa lang ako nag full load passenger during long drive 350 kms from province. Most of the time kami lang ni misis gumagamit.

Are shocks generally covered with warranty? Or not due to wear and tear?

they may be wear and tear.
but i will still complain loudly, if my shock starts weeping within a month from purchase.
"play it by ear, siguro." and let us see what it is, that we can get away with.

    like the alternator bearing.
it is ordinary for these things to be trouble-free, even after over 10 years of regular use.
so, when they say it needs replacement within 1 year from purchase of the car...

Yung alterra ko bumigay after 5yrs. Old innova 4yrs. New innova 10months lang. Yung 2001 hilux sr5 ko dati 16yrs used wala man lang nag leak kahit isa

when i replaced mine, years ago, i used the standard (white) kyb, which was cheaper. it took a long while, for the tagtag to smooth out.
perhaps if i opted for the heavy-duty (black) model...?

Yung fluid type kunin mo sir.

Phone gamit ko ngayon pero I prefer installing new stereo unit. Cavite ako, baka may alam kayo within Cavite, Laguna, or Metro Manila.

Nag inquire ako sa Growl, medyo mahal P31,850 daw (see below link).
