Good that they have updated the software before it was turned over to you. Are you noticing weird sound in the engine or tranny whenever you engage to reverse or drive. I notice mine is having a noticeable "takatak" sound whenver engaged in reverse or park with brakes applied (car is not movig)

Here's my story...
Got this MPV this early September. It came down to the MUX, the discounted base model MONTY, INNOVA E versus G. The deal breaker for the MONTY was its rear exterior look, something was not right, add up the tear drop tail lights and the huge center console (almost a wall in the middle) - super fail for me. The MUX gave a good fight but the poor plastic interior was no match for the INNOVA (despite the ceiling LCD monitor which my kids would love) and also the 2nd row not being movable was a minus and adding up the old engine which by 2017 may be upgraded with the DDI engine then I'll have myself scratching my head.
So why G? The E variant was sufficient for me. Its just that the colors that we want were not available in E - which are alumina Jade and Pearl White. Not to mention my wife liking the interiors of the G variant. Got a good deal in Toyota Cubao, although I am from Pasig. As it turned out, I came to like the G variant, before all black seats/interior for me - no beige, no brown, but this brown fabric seats of the G variant for some reason I came to love eventually (na-develop kumbaga, will still put leather seat cover matching the brown color). No regrets for my family in opting for the G trim, not to mention the better MID + Auto Climate Control + the Premium interior.
Good things I noticed.
Power is good, lagging a bit in ECO mode, well what do you expect, Normal Mode is my day-to-day mode. Be careful in Power mode, you can feel your head being left behind when pressing the pedal especially if coming from ECO mode. NVH is good. Can't say anything about the NAVI, for me better to use WAZE. AUTO Climate is super COLD!
Not so Good things I noticed.
I can feel the downshift at 35kph, its minimal but I can feel it. It's not jerking, but maybe its what they call shift shock, I'm not sure, sorry. I have a VIOS AT but I don't feel the downshifts. Also, the master warning light (triangle w/ exclamation point) blinks every after ignition, not sure if that is just how it is BUT if the engine is hot it will not blink. Need more pressure in closing the doors, not an issue for me. The tailgate (back door) though is quite hard to close, a little issue for me. Will consult these issues in Toyota Cubao on my 1k PMS.
TOYOTA INNOVA 2.8G DSL AT
600+ Kms in the ODO
Ours is a 2.8 E A/T. Blackish Red. This is our first brand new vehicle. Got it from Toyota Alabang just a week ago.
So far me and my family really enjoying the Innova.
Engine is very responsive. Ride is comfortable and I would say that NVH is really good.
However I have some issues: 1.) The tranny is a bit jerky during upshift and downshift especially when cruising at 40-60 kph. Also when climbing over a steep ramp at our office's parking lot, the jerk is more felt when it downshifts. 2.) There is a weird noise (dunno if its coming from the engine or tranny) whenever gear is engaged in R or D while vehicle is stationary. 3.) The shift knob is sometimes hard to shift from P to R especially during the first time you start the car in the morning. 4.) A noticeable movement even when handbrake and brakes are applied when shifting from D to N during traffic.
I'm planning to have 1k pms sometime next week and will definitely address these issues to dealer.

Been driving my innova 2.8G diesel AT for 2 months. Eto sakin (on board display)
Highway short trip 25km around 90km/h with 2 adults 1 child - 17.5km/L
Mixed driving (city and high way) around 60% moderate traffic, 25% heavy traffic, 15% light traffic. From full tank to empty - 11km/L
Highway long trip going north (NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX) 4 adults 4 children average speed around 100km/h - 16km/L
Highway long trip going back to manila (TPLEX, SCTEX, NLEX) 4 adults 4 children average speed around 120km/h - 14km/L
Bro.,- typically advantage ng 2Km/L ang diesel vs. gasoline.
So, assuming 7Km/L ang gas variant; 9Km/L ang diesel variant
Diesel = 30/9 = P3.33/km
Gas= 40/7 = P5.71/km
So, bawi na ang P102K na price difference in about 42,900km...

Given na rin po na mas mataas ang resale value nang diesel variant.

What actual data are you expecting? CVT's assumptions are correct based on my experience driving both gas and diesel Innovas. So if you do 15,000 km a year, you'll recoup the additional 102k in under 3 years.
The diesel Innova is also much more powerful compared to the gas variant, so you won't have any problems with carrying heavy loads or lots of people, even on uphill climbs.
I don't see any reason to get the gas Innova at all.

I suspect most, if not all dealerships' "in house financing" isn't in house at all. They simply arrange the loan for you with their partner bank of choice. They tack on several % of interest on top of the bank's rate and then present it as their in house car loan.
I accidentally saw some in house loan documents before. If they were really in house, why were Chinabank and Metrobank in the loan documents?
The report that a lot of these dealerships are heavily financed also supports this theory. I don't think most of them have enough liquid assets to finance the cars themselves.
Dealerships still use banks for in-house financing ... even with insurance ... they add on their profit margin and pass it on to the customer ... easy profit ...
All of our vehicles were never rust proofed ... none of them encountered problems with rust even if they were a decade old or more ...
A friend has a fleet of pickups that travel between islands regularly (Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao) ... some every week, others twice a month ... they are used to go to farm areas, muddy areas, rough roads, you name it ... some models are a decade old and have travelled 300T kms ... not one has any rust problems ...
Rust proofing is and was never necessary ... but hey, it's your money ...
is there any difference between the accessories (visor / mudguards) sold by dealerships and say other sellers (via olx / lazada / etc)? SA has been hounding me to get the visor and mudguards from them since according to them, 'iba daw quality'. i know they will charge an arm and a leg for that (almost x2.5 the price outside) but is the quality commensurate or are they just basically the same?
