Correction lang. hindi pala jerk yung sakin. Parang ma feel mo lang yung down shift ng tranny. Yung old d4d ko kasi hindi mo maramdaman pag mag down shift sya.

it should be the same. walang mararamdaman.

Normal lang ba yun sir?

Bro others are reporting smooth upshifts and downshift on their forts. Even my 175000km old 6sp torque converter is shifting very smoothly.

probably needs a tcm and ecu update. check if you have the latest version.

Mga sir, i need your inputs with my current predicament wih my fortuner V. Aware naman kami sa jerky transmission, kaya last march 25 pina ECU update namin to correct the shift shock. Nag fully synthetic oil pa ako nung 1k PMS. I can't help but compare dun sa fortuner G namin na malakas ang hatak considering mineral oil lang ung pinagamit ko dun nung 1k PMS. Ibinalik ko sa Toyota Plaridel to check kung saan ang problema since sila ang nag ECU update ng dalawang unit namin.
They connected a laptop to see kung may error. Kase ang complain ko delay ang shifting ng gears ng V, unlike sa G na nagshishift ng 40, 60, 80, so on. Itong V 40, then 90-100 na next shift.
110 * 5h gear. not normal. dapat 6th na

Toyota did not really fix the jerking issue ... the just provided a stop gap solution ... to remove the jerkiness, the somehow retarded the transmission performance ...
From what I know yung best solution is transmission replacement, ginawa ng Toyota sa mga nauna na may issue.
Not guranteed too. My V had the tranny changed with a new one at Toyota Makati, but the problem persisted.
Also recieved the ECU update but a slight "downshift" still occurs. Complained but the tech guy and his laptop says that's normal already... No such thing as a smooth coasting daw.
Has anyone tried driving in S6 rather than D? Does the jerky shifting manifest in this condition?
Engine breaking/ premature downshifting still occurs in either D6 or S6 while coasting.

TIA
