No issue for my Hilux Revo 4x2 2.4 G m/t all stock. Very useful ang ECO at POWER mode. Average fuel consumption ko na sa 7.5L/100 km highway. Long drive test ko sa 170km/hr na loaded ang yung cabin. Very comfortable ride at mabilis yung hatak ng engine.

We just recently purchased the 4x2 AT G variant and we are indeed experiencing the cranky transmission noise whenever changing gear and when moving slowly in reverse. Going to have the issue checked out altogether when we install new mods and have the first 1000 km service done on it.

After some research done it is said the issue is a mere noise inconvenience and no withstanding long term effect however I beg to differ since this is the all new gen Hilux designed from scratch we are the test subjects of their live experiment. Other inputs have put the issue as a software one and not a hardware problem.

I was able to test their unit, a 4x2G AT which is exactly the model we want to purchase. The SA is generous enough that i drove it for almost half an hour.

Tested the Eco and power and you can really feel the diff of the engine response. we tried it also sa mga lubak at ok naman ang play nya. straight road hintaw ko and I got to say it's way smoother than our 2013 Fortuner. We even went to a steep drive to Monterey Hills in Marikina. It's feels very powerful,s olid and pulido. To thin line na 2.4 pa lang to.

Prior to this, I test drove the 2.2 wildtrak, tho ang budget ko lang is the XLT AT. And since same engine, i proceed with the TD. Ranger by looks is very handsome and I like the simple XLT Blue model talaga. But driving it, I can observe that it's more matagtag, i feel that the AT is continuously shifting, tho mas malambot ang throttle feedback nya. I can say na it relies to much on the turbo na perhaps baka wala pa 5 yrs eh maging defective na yun turbo mo. Also, I read that common issue ang burst turbo hose kahit bago pa lang.

So as much a I like the looks and features ng XLT not to mention mas mura at mas malaki ang discount. I decided to with the Hilux.

So is there any common issue about the 4x2 G AT? Sa test drive ko kse ala naman ako na pansin pero aminin ko nakangisi kase ako habang hinahataw ko sya that time that I might missed some.

    Hi. Hilux revo owners.
May issue ako 4x4 MT, kapag nag shift esp to 3rd gear/4th, medyo may maingay and medyo matigas.
    Thanks

Is the casa going to replace your transmission? What did they tell you?

Nope, i even told them if they can open the transmission, they said no need because they also tested some 4x4 models, same sound that they heard on my unit. They still cant figure why. But as long as the gear doesnt disengage while driving, its all good.
    But bothersome ung sound.
I heard some owners also experienced this noise issue when shifting.
