Hehe. Saw Prado 20s for sale... very tempting. Still have to drive around to my suking tindahans to see what are the going prices for 17s and 20s. Also have to research on tyres to use if I go for 20s. Bang for the buck is to find FJ or current Hilux rim and tyre combos from new unit owners who are upgrading.

November 18th, 2015 07:01 AM #25Please post your findings once you have tested the Ford Ranger. I am planning to buy a pickup truck 4 x 2 MT, and I am deciding between the Ford Ranger or the Toyota Hilux. Any advise coming from fellow tsikoteers would be most welcome.

November 18th, 2015 09:41 AM #29just sharing my experience on the ranger. well the ranger is good looking to me that is why i bought one last year. its a 4x4 XL. sabi nila sa casa malakas daw but i find it mahina. kailangan naka gain ng momentum bago mo maramdaman ang hatak. if you are in an uphill naku makupad mag take off. anyway, 2.2 lang naman kasi makina. another issue is, mahirap mag engage lalo na pag nalubak kana ayaw mag engage 4x4. sabi nila sa casa nong nireport ko yong issue. dapat daw nag engage na ako bago malubak. wow naman ang sagot nila. then sometimes ayaw din mag dis engage. after a few months, nabali yong front drive velocity during a 4x4 trek. yong kasama ko hilux hindi naman nabali. sold the ranger after 4 months of used.
pero kung 4x2 naman hanap mo. then you might as well try the ranger kung yon ang choice mo. but for me, doon ka na sa sigurado. mahirap ang trial and error lalo na at malaki din cost na involve. why try other brand when you know there are other choice na mapapanatag ang loob mo. yong palagi ko nga sinasabi. kanya kanyang choice yan. kahit sabihin ng iba na "ganito kasi yan" kung yon naman ang gusto mo, then ikaw pa rin masusunod.
anyway, maganda naman siguro ang lahat ng pick-up truck na lumalabas ngayon. nasa budget and taste lang ng buyer kung alin pipiliin.

November 18th, 2015 09:47 AM #30by the way, sabi nila yong hilux lang daw ang 4x4 pick-up na may differential lock ngayon. and yong ECO mode and Power Mode pala. nakakatuwang gamitin. pag nasa downhill ka, you can just press the eco mode and mararamdaman mo hihina ang takbo malakas ang engine break. pag sa akyatan naman, you can just press the power mode at any time when you needed it. so you can use three mode at any given time. pwede normal driving, Eco mode and power mode so have a total control kung ano gusto mo driving mode.
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
