Toyota has prepared the sixth-generation Kijang and it is scheduled to be launched in 2014. It will be using the same chassis, suspension and engine as the fifth generation Kijang Innova. The engines will remain same as Innova: its petrol engine is the 1TR-FE 2.0 L 16-valve VVT-i 136 PS 182 Nm and diesel engine is 2KD-FTV 2.5 L D4-D common-rail with a variable nozzle turbo (VNT) 16-valve 144 PS 260 Nm. The prototype design has already been released in PDF format by an Indonesian designer and has some brand new exterior and interior designs plus improvements to the Kijang that will be present in 2012. The design is matched with current car design trend for both the exterior and interior, plus Toyota's J-Factor will appear on the sixth-generation Kijang. The essential design given to the nickname of sixth generation Kijang concept was "Kijang Essential"

The truth is, hassle sa isang manufacturer yung assembly line mo para sa isang type ng product ay dalawa, para bang may premium at may ordinary. Para sa isang manufacturer, mas makakatipid ka sa production time kung lahat ng palalabasin mo ay isang klase lang.

Pero take a look at Mitsubishi, yung 4D56 yung mga enhanced versions, nilagay nila sa pickup at SUV's nila, yung standard dun sa still in demand na Adventure. It only means na may target market sila sa bawat product output nila.

Bakit ka maglalagay ng isang bagay sa produkto mo na yung demand ng market ay wala naman.

Pero malay nga naman natin, pero baka di rin i-release sa atin. Just like yung 2.7 VVTI na Innova, di naman nibenta sa atin.

Agree. I find the 1st facelift (which is also less attractive for me) more palatable than this. Wala tuloy akong bitterness na naramdaman nung lumabas itong 2014 facelift.

yup parang eto na ang pinakapanget na transition ng facelift na nakita ko...

ang alam ko good for 10 years talaga ang buong IMV lineup ng toyota... so start expecting na may all new na starting next year :D
