    Actually the knob controls are not so bad at all. Some drivers still report it to be easier to use while driving, leading to cause less distractions than the digital aircon controls.

    I get to use both kinds of controls on two vehicles I own, Innova E and Fortuner. And I still prefer the rotary knobs bec. its quicker to adjust, and is less likely to break down in the future, etc..

    Toyota utilizes the auto climate control on their high end models, and the manual rotary knob on the lower end variants. That's how it is really.
